Titan a.e has well the titan, an ark.
Andromeda has well, an ark.
Titan a.e has mankind lose everything, struggle to find their place once more and above all else struggle to survive while nearly extinct.
Andromeda has mankind in virtually the same situation, earth is no longer an option so mankind extends even further into the reaches of space. To survive, to find their place anew.
Titan a.e has big bad alien scumbags bent on mankind's annihilation, the drej.
Andromeda will have yet again a species of alien hellbent on mankind's annihilation, the khet.(I say mankind because come on, ME isn't about aliens it's about mankind being a race that spawns one space Jesus after another and are the center of the mulitverse.)
Lastly, space Jesus who somehow holds the secret to mankind's survival are both main characters and have an alien crew. Coincidence?! I think not.

What does this have to do with anything you might ask well I'll tell you.
Mass effect is titan a.e. illuminati confirmed.

No but seriously, think andromeda will end up being titan a.e the game? The similarities are quite numerous and I love titan a.e(just bought a new DVD due to vhs finally dying) and if we can name planet's, I call dibs on planet bob. Ya hear me?! Planet Bob is mine.

Anyways, I feel like andromeda will have a titan a.e like ending.

One thing I really liked about Titan:AE was that humanity wasn't this messianic species; if anything we were like the Quarians of that setting. The other aliens didn't see us as this noble race worth following at the expense of their own home worlds, and we weren't this wholly unique, special snowflake in a galaxy of other sentient lifeforms.

It would be really awesome if ME:A would follow this trend, but I kinda doubt it.

I agree, it'd be really fantastic if it did.

okay, it's when you and the lads are havin' a bit of banter in town you're mate is like "I'm hungry let's go greggs" but your like "nah, man not feeling a pasty let's go somewhere else" so then your top mate gaz goes "oi, lads let's go for a cheeky nandos" and you all look at em and are like oh gaz your a ledge. So what ends up happenin is you hash up a plan wif your mates like "We take Pete's car, we drive over to Mum's, we go in, take care of Philip - "I'm so sorry, Philip" - then we grab Mum, we go over to gaz's place, hole up, have a cup of tea and wait for this whole thing to blow over." Course gaz the cheeky cu*t doesn like that so he goes "lets take Pete's car, go round Mum's, go in, deal with Philip - "Sorry, Philip!" - grab Mum, go to Lisa's, pick her up, bring her back here, have a cup of tea and wait for this whole thing to blow over." Course what ends up happenin is we's all gone off to good ol' Winchester and had a pint. We forgot Phil, sorrry phillip..

Titan A.E. must be one of the most underrated movies of all time. It was the first time I saw 'disabling the gravity generator' being used as a tactic, something that should've been used in bigger movies as well. Well, many years later Guardians of the Galaxy did it too.

hey andromeda could use it too! For a movie that was considered a box office flop and highly underrated, a lot could be learned from it.. -cough- Bioware -cough-

What a coincidence and  I just watched it today. And while I do love it I hope MEA is better.

I've been hoping BioWare would have a chat with the Visceral folks about all the cool stuff you can do with variable gravity environments in a third person shooter for years. The nature of the ME setting makes it perfect for that sort of thing.

It's probably one of my favorite animated films. I love the tone and setting and its characters. I wouldn't mind having someone like Gune on the team. He's Mordin-esque.

Regarding the humanity thing though, humanity actually is special in this story. The Drej attack earth specifically because they're afraid of what the humans may accomplish with the Titan, and they have the capacity to create an entire planet.

Think we can sneak Over My Head into the soundtrack as well while we're at it?

I watch Titan AE every freaking year as tradition.  Don Bluth is a god among men.  Can't wait for the new movie of his coming out (hopefully).
