I can never allow Cullen to keep using Lyrium, not even my shem hating Inky elf won't do it.

It's also the only way to personally kill Alistair, sadly it's not canon, why the hell we can use the murder knife on every party member but him?
alright.. throw rocks at me but I couldn't help but laugh every time I murder a former companion. I don't know why. maybe because I thought of how pathetic they are without my Warden haha. I love this DLC, being the bad guy feels refreshing.

I refuse to romance Solas. I never liked him from the get go and just can't get past his inherent Solas-ness to romance him. I've never gone full ally with the Templars because I am so pro-mage. I've pretty much done all the other major choices. Drank from the well, sacrificed the chargers. Made Cole more spirit like. I will say I will never make any of those three decisions again.

Once I find my canon character I typically stick with that character for all subsequent playthroughs, which includes sticking to their choices, even if the outcomes are terrible (coughsavingthedreadnoughtcough).
That said there are definitely things I would never do no matter what. In DAI I would never:
Antagonize companions (we may disagree but I'm not going to be a jerk)
Punch Solas
Punch Dorian
Give Vivienne the wrong wyvern heart
Kick Sera out (though I've been tempted, lol)
Make Cole more human
Leave any companion unrecruited
Force Cullen to remain on lyrium
Betray Briala
Allow Celene to be assassinated
Attack Abelas and the sentinels
Make anyone tranquil
Use red lyrium
Have Leliana remain hardened (hell to the NO)
EDIT: OH. I. Will. Never. Allow Solas to remove the vallaslin. Not. Ever. You stole my heart Solas, I won't let you steal my soul!

My biggest thing that I'll never do ever in a DA game is side with Meredith at the end of DA2.
In DA:I, it's have a Divine that isn't Leliana.
I had a lot of variable playthroughs of DA:O, but I never killed all the mages in the Circle. I never sided with the werewolves to kill the elves either.

In crafting. I haven't roleplayed characters who would use the stuff, so I don't use it to make runes or whatnot for armor and weapon upgrades.

Huge plot hole, really. Varric just turns a blind eye while you creep down to the Undercroft to give Dagna six chunks of red lyrium to turn into a rune? Really? In crafting. That said, I craft the heck out of that stuff. Gimme that +50 points of damage, you Superb Corrupting Rune you!

Ahh, ok. Hmm, never really thought about it that way. For me, having runes that do damage to any living creature is too useful to pass up, so I usually put them on everyone's weapons later in the game (especially for DLC). I figure Dagna has some process that allows them to be used safely, kinda like whatever Sandal did to the red lyrium shard in DA2.

Oh yeah, Dagna uses red lyrium to make the rune that destroys Samson's armor, huh? I think? Don't remember lol. If so okay I've made an exception. X)

Some of those higher level runes looked so useful I was like gaaahhhhh. But given what it is neither of my characters were going to take a chance. My first character especially was morally opposed.

DA:O I will never be able to:
Make a deal with Vaughn
DA2 I will never be able to:
Bring your sibling to the deep roads and not bring Anders
Rival Varric or Aveline
Give Fenris to his old master
Romance Merril
Romance Anders
DA:I I will never be able to:
Punch Dorian
Punch Dorian
Did I mention punch Dorian?
I must say some of the more dickier options requires a few playthroughs for me to work up the courage to do them. But 5 playthroughs and I still can't punch Dorian? It will never happen lol

Honestly the only choice is by not pardoning Thom Ranier. All other choices have pretty much legitimate RP considerations. The want to get things done and preserve alliances.

Ah, I had forgot about corrupting runes. I never use them either. The stuff is evil.
I always use Demon Slaying, Cleansing, and Spirit Runes. In my nightmare playthrough, I crafted special weapons with dragon slaying runes, but overall I am OK with only doing extra damage to demons or corrupted creatures.
By the way, I just finished my Lavellan playthrough romancing Solas and, in addition to being traumatized, I have one more thing to add to my "will never do this again" list: asking him to remove the vallaslin. I did it because I was curious, and now it feels horrible. That poor Inquisitor is utterly alone now, she is not herself anymore and she doesn't belong anywhere. Awful.

I can't:
-Drink from the well
-Let the Chargers Die
-Let a non-elf inquisitor ride a Hart mount
-Thanks to Trespasser I can't let any elf inquisitors talk about believing in the elven gods. Now I play them as Andrastian instead.

Interesting, never saw it that way. I think my canon is where Inky still believes in what Solas' told her - and therefore removes the vallaslin - but still is determined to stop him. Becoming inquisitor already made her disconnected from dalish culture.By the way, I just finished my Lavellan playthrough romancing Solas and, in addition to being traumatized, I have one more thing to add to my "will never do this again" list: asking him to remove the vallaslin. Yeah, for my characters, I generally stay away from entropy and necromancy and whatnot. I don't mind their presence, and I won't go out of my way to avoid them in building other characters, but they've always been kind of icky to me. And I am staying faaaaaaaaaaaaar awaaaaaaaaaay from anything with the BLIGHT lolnope.
Somehow, I forgot to add removing the vallaslin from my list. My Lavellan kept hers; they were a part of her, whatever their origin, and she believes their meaning in modern times belong to the Dalish. If you have Solas remove them, it seems like he steals your soul as well as your heart...mythal'enaste.

Hawke actually saves Varric by making a Rune from a Red Lyrium statue in DA2. Perhaps this act of Enchantment makes the material less tainted; uncertain. But it seems that it follows extant lore.

Yeah, I don't think I will ever do that either. I declined the offer in both of my Solasmances.
Though I wonder....can you add them back to your character at Black Emporium or do they become disabled in the CC?

That is an interesting point of view. It makes things a bit easier to process, too.
In my mind, Lavellan may want to visit her clan after the events in Trespasser (now that I know how to make sure they survive the war table missions), but I imagine explaining the lack of vallaslin would be very hard, so in the end she doesn't really belong anywhere anymore.

I never tried! I am curious now. I'll resurrect a save and check.

With my "serious" characters - as opposed to the "for science" ones, I can never...
...say I believe I'm Andraste's Herald
...say anything else but "It's time we start believing in this world" in "In Your Heart Shall Burn"
...say "I'm doing this for myself" when you're declared Inquisitor. Really, how stupid can you be.
...drink from the Well of Sorrows
...make Gaspard Emperor.
...Let the Chargers die
...not attempt to reconcile Dorian and his father
...un-harden Leliana (because I can't interfere with her decision in the first conversation. I'm a noob, and she's doing her job. Stupid to interfere)
...Dismiss Cole
...Say, imply or agree that all spirits are demons
...Make Erimond tranquil when judging him as a mage Inquisitor
There may be a few other small things. Maybe this indicates my roleplaying ability isn't all that good, but I'm simply too invested in some of the themes to find playing against my preferences fun, even though I can do it if I want. If I do, though, these characters become less real to me, and their playthroughs are relegated to "experimental runs". It's similar to how in tabletop RPGs, I can never play a priest-type because I simply can't get into the required mindset.

LOL seeing a lot of 'punch Dorian'. One of the funniest things to do ever, imo.
I don't hate Dorian, I adore him to death, but punching him was just so uncalled for, and his dramatic soccer dive was hilarious.

Nope, it becomes disabled in the CC.

ooh great question. Lesee ...
- Romance Solas because he's so smug (but a good kisser - okay i did snog him in the Fade ONCE)
- Let Cully-wully take lyrium. Poor puppy needs a break.
- Not romance Cully-wully - I feel so responsible for the guy's happiness (this is so wrong!)
- Romance Blackwall - lying g**
- Not do all of Dorian's quests because he's adoriable.
- agree to anything holy. Holy shmoly.
- recruit Sera - who on earth thought her up - she's the most tediously annoying character ever. I booted her out first run through - so satisfying ![]()
- finish more than one mosaic and collect more than half the shards in any zone - soo booring
- not upgrade Bianca after i found out Bianca Davri basically invented Red Templars.
- romance the bull. (and i can't get the pillowy man bosoms out of my head, in a bad way. Thanks Krem)
so pretty much like most people here ![]()

I Never:
-Side with Templars
-Exile the Wardens
-Sacrifice Hawke
-Harden Leliana
-Tell Cullen to keep taking Lyrium
-Side with the Qun
-Choose a side in the Winter Palace
-Drink from the well
-Allow Blackwall to have any conclusion other than to go back to the Wardens
-Pick anyone other than Leliana to be divine (As I typically romance Cass, and would never allow Viv to be divine)
-Sentence anyone to death (I enjoy making allies from enemies whenever possible)
-Leave any rifts open
-Leave any personal quest unfulfilled
-Play an Inquisitor who doesnt believe in the Maker/Andraste (Always gotta choose the Maker's Chosen path)
-Decorate Skyhold with anything other than a combination of Chantry and Inquisition (Mostly Chantry complete with the Flaming Andraste Throne)
