I have seem quite a few PUG folks not knowing which room is free and which room is easy, so here is an easy guild to treasure room so next time some of you don't have to keep pressing F4 in front of an open door of a free room.
The points below applies to Non-FC maps. FC map does not have that many treasure rooms so I will leave it to you to figure them out. ![]()
1. The treasure room in the first map does not have Revenant or Arcane Horror ever. If you open the door, no spiders pops out, then the chest is either free or you get zombies. Either spiders or zombies are pretty easy to kill.
2. If there are 2 treasure rooms in the same map, one of them is always free. The one that is completely free does NOT have any pots of gold inside.
3. If you open the door and see spiders or 3 foes inside, the chest has no guardian, so feel free to open it. And you don't have to kill any of 3 enemies in the room for the map cleared key to drop. So if one of the 3 is a Saarebus, you don't have to kill him.. unless you want to. I would just run around him, get the chest and go.
4. If the chest in the room is NOT at a direct line in front of the open door, it is a free room. Pretty much any room that is asymmetrical in shape/decor (left and right from the door is not the same) is a free room. There are a few free room with the chest right in front of the door, but they are small room and you should be able to tell they are free just by a quick look around and see no pots of gold (#2 above).
