So I cried alot about the insanity difficulty in the threads lately, But I just died like 6 times total... Insanity is fairly balanced BUT THE DAMN PRAETORIAN, He hadent killed me even once!, He is just LITERALLY immpossible to hit... I take out his shields and before i have time to react he regens! It's not hard its just so funny... any tips?

Use a cain. At least I do when I face the thing a second time on the Collector ship. On Horizon, I stick to cover while the squadmates fire at it. When I get the opportunity, I use the Collector beam. If playing as an adept, I use warp once its shields are lowered.

Just keep going :D As stupid as it sounds. The Praetorian will regenerate the barrier over and over until the last of the armor is gone. Use a Shotgun or SMG on the Barrier and switch to a Pistol/Sniper Rifle when dealing with the armor part (Assault Rifle is quite good for both). Preferably do this with the whole squad and repeat switching back and forth weapons.

I don't know which squad mates you take, but there are some that can deal with barrier and armor quite well.

The Preatorian flops down on the ground about three times (sometimes four) renewing his barrier before he dies. When his armor is down by 1/4 he flops. When his armor is down by 1/2 he flops. And he flops yet again when his armor is down by by 3/4. You might also get a flop when he has such a tiny sliver of armor you can't see it.

Use the trucks to kite the thing. Let your squad decide on their own where to go; do not give them positioning orders. They will stay far enough away to avoid its melee/flop attack.

Truth is, you don't have to fire a single shot. Your squad can do all the work. They only reason to use your own or your squad mate powers or your own guns is to speed up the fight.

This is my latest go round with the Praetorian using a Sentinel.

I just shoot it forever and make sure my squaddies and I are not near it when it flops down to recharge barriers.
