Oh i played KotOR one and two quite a few times myself but i have played quite a lot of games in the last decade and maybe your memory about games is just better then mine.
It was the only game I had for years. When you play the same game everyday for several years you tend to remember a lot about it. 
And I recently replayed KotOR II.
It has been a long time since I played either one, but I recall in KOTOR when I was doing my evil playthrough and leaving Carth on the island to rot at the end of the game was a fun moment.
