Not talking combat in this thread cause thats in a million other threads where 100s of players complain and the same 25 defend, thats boring already.
What im talking about is changes (other then combat) that worked and didnt work
Didnt Work:
1) Probing/Surveying/scanning the planet. ITS BORING. Sorry no other way to say it. First couple planets were cool, after that its just boring to do!
2) Lack of "random" interaction between group mates. I loved the little comments by Wrex and Ash and everyone in Mass Effect when on elevators or wandering around.
I loved it in all Bioware games, it was basically a signature saying "This is a Bioware Game".
Welp im 16 hours or so into PC version and havent heard a single witty comment or discussion and its greatly missed.
3) Reputation bar. Im sorry, I like to know when I have gained reputation/influence with a team member. I have no clue if im getting my fellow teammates to become loyal to me in ME2 because the game doesnt tell me when they approve and disapprove. DA:O did it perfectly.
You cant build a deep relationship with a video game character so you cant get to know them like you would a real person so that meter or guide helps greatly to let you know if you on the right path or not.
There is more but those my main 3 things that have disappointed me (Again, NOT TALKING ABOUT COMBAT HERE)
The Good
1) I love the short missions rather then the cut and paste buildings from ME1 side missions. ME2 definately a lot better in that regard.
2) I like the new paragon/renagade system. not leveling up the stats but its still YOU controling them with the actions you take on behalf of your character. Your playing your character still, your character isnt playing you.
3) Stripper in strip club. Went to afterlife and was so happy to see the "dancers" fit the atmoshpere. I have no clue how sex sceens handled in ME2 yet so cant comment if its good or bad but it was just refreshing to see a almost nude dancer in the strip club. Hopefully that style carries through for the rest of this 17+ mature game.
4) NO MAKO! Cant say that enough
Cant make everyone happy, changes I like and dislike!

Just a note: There is no reputation bar for your NPCs. You either do their loyalty quest and they are loyal to you, or you don't do it and they aren't.

Welp guess im screwed then and that really bad design!
I just refused to kill all the innocent workers to allow Zaeehd (DLC Guy) to get his revenge so guess he will never be loyal to me.
If what your saying true, what a terrible way to do it!

Wrong, Kalfaer. He will still be loyal, but he'll be classified as like sub-loyal, but officially he is loyal. If you do their quest, they will do yours. Loyalty. But if you do their quest wrong, they will still help you with yours, but not as loyally.
I don't like the idea of a status bar from DAO to ME. In MAss Effect, there is so much mroe character development (I've played both) that you can actually feel when people like or dislike you just from their eyes! There is no need for it.

its a video game, you cant feel anything regarding personal likes/dislikes.
Sorry im as full blown a RPer as there is but thats just crap about feeling their intentions.
