Neat! So you are saying that after the reload, you set it back to Nightmare + Trials, but the barrier stays as if it were Casual?Not a proper bug, but quite annoying and something that should have been fixed IMO as it's actually "game breaking" in places: With Even Ground on (from the Trespasser Trials), Magical Barriers can be impossible to destroy on higher levels. At least on Nightmare, which I'm always playing on. My "fix" is to turn off Even Ground and turn the difficult down to Casual, save, exit the game and reload the save. The Magical Barrier still has the same level as the player, but it can be destroyed easily.
Tangential question: does the Chromatic Greatsword do enough elemental damage to take down a promoted barrier? If so, why not give us a Chromatic Dagger and Chromatic Bow? Then we could still run without mages in the party.
