I'm actually kind of curious as to how anyone can legitimately claim that a bra is a physical need.
I was just saying that the situation could not be compared, that the target demographic of video game marketing is different than the bra industry.
Of course the bra industry is not going to be targeted at male, for physical reason, male rarely have a large breast and if they do, well they have bigger health problem than feeling confortable with their breast.
The video game industry on the other hand can attract both male and female, that's why those 2 industry could not be compared under any circumstances.

There are lingerie shops for men in Japan.

Yeah, that doesn't have anything to do with necessity. Bras are so your boobs look good under clothes, or to perk the girls up so you look younger. There is nothing necessary about a bra. So, if your analogy isn't quite right, then find a different analogy.I was just saying that the situation could not be compared, that the target demographic of video game marketing is different than the bra industry. You remove my answer from the context, the other guy was comparing the bra industry to the game industry.
A woman might not be forced to wear a bra in her everyday life, her choice, but for physical reason, there is a far higher chance that some woman would want one, at least far higher chance than a man.
There is no physical reason why a woman would be less interested in a video games, but there are reason why a man would not be interested in the bra department.
Do you see my point?

Maybe I should not have used the word "physical needs" that was a mistake from my part, the 2 industry can still not be compared, but I would like you to understand that english is not my fist langage and I do makes alot of mistakes when I write or speaks it

Well, bras aren't necessarily just for looks. Depending on your chest size, they also help with comfort; especially when working out. Excessive bounce hurts! Just sayin!Yeah, that doesn't have anything to do with necessity. Bras are so your boobs look good under clothes, or to perk the girls up so you look younger. There is nothing necessary about a bra. So, if your analogy isn't quite right, then find a different analogy.
But, yeah, the analogy doesn't work.

Let me give you some advice. This really isn't the place for these sort of discussions.. more generally, an internet forum is not a great place for discussing political and social issues. Why would you spend your time in a Mass Effect forum discussing these issues.. which now has turned into an absurd conversation about bras.
What is the purpose of this thread?

The West or what is called the Western countries are completely bonkers with their "political correct" thinking.
In reality a lot of men today in the Western world could use a bra but of course nobody in their right mind would say it out loud.
Then again do you see much reality in games? Many players ask for it but I still have to see a obese protagonist for instance. Since when does the gameworld mimic reality? Simple fact is that many minority groups have been upgraded as if they represent the multitudes and are the basis of a healthy society. It would be odd games would not reflect/push mainstream society trends.

Femshep is fine. Maybe Andromeda will have femshep as default.
I was more interested in the transport mass effect relay thing in the trailer. Local mass effect relay? I think it will be like one main mass effect relay with hubs to pull you back.

I was not the one starting withthe bras, he was the one who did and I had to answer on that arguments.
And to those who criticize it, my thread was only an analysis of a situation. Was it worth all the effort I put in? its possible that its not. But I am the kind of person who over analyse many things that people don't care about.
It was just a small advice to bioware for the future of their marketing and me over analysing a small situation,

Personally, I think OP has used a lot of words to basically say, "It's complicated."
And it is. Kind of. I've never cared in the least which gender of protagonist is featured in the promotional material, but it makes me nervous when it develops into a gender war. And I don't actually think threads like this one help.
The OP seems to assume that male players invariably prefer male protagonists and that female players prefer female ones, for one thing, which isn't necessarily true. This shouldn't need to be divisive in the first place.
As a male I've played male Shepard 3 times and female Shepard 25 times in all 3 games, I've played one male Warden in DA:O and zero male Hawke and male Inquisitors and close to 20 female Hawke and 15 female Inquisitors in DA:I.

And I thought I played too much bioware games with my 19 times for the first mass effect, 15 times for the second, 13 times for the third, 12 times for DAO, 2 times for DA 2, 6 times DAI and 9 characters in SWTOR...

How could you not play Male Hawke?! Aggressive Hawke versus passive aggressive Carver is the best thing that ever happen in DA2.

I tried a playthrough as maleHawke. Got as far as Kirkwall and deleted the save. Didn't like the voice.
