I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this and I guess everyone has written this off as a troll thread but; There is one way I'd like to see 'disabilities' implemented: squadmates temporarily limping or struggling to function so long as you don't give them medi-gel/return to the base to get patched up.

I don't remember ever using medi-gel for squadmates post ME1, maybe the one rare chance I really needed them right here right now, so it could bump the use if medi-gel without negating believability.

Permanent disabilities are, as some other ppl have pointed out, almost impossible with the technological advances the ME universe has.

like the Dragon Age injuries they so foolishly cut out of Inquisition

This could be a sensible addition. I noticed that the segmented health bar is gone in the footage from 2014. The injured state could've been keyed to the health bar, or something similar for NPCs, on the HUD.

An injury, and the corresponding compromised performance, definitely provides incentive to use medigel. I know in ME3, I never used medigel, since I accumulated XP faster without it. The game was easy, so it made this tactic easier to employ. If they rebalanced things, though, making medigel more valuable and injuries a part of the game... who knows?

I doubt we will see this, but it is a cool idea to consider. There are no doubt lots of ways to implement this, if they are looking to make this game feel more gritty than the previous trilogy.

Yes, those debuffs! But then with animations on the actual characters to go with, I often forgot some of my team members had injuries.

We can still dream... I hope they at least make medi-gel more useful/valuable in SOME way.

Origins was the only game in which injuries had any kind of meaningful effect anyway, in DA2 it was just a minor hit to your max health and stamina until you had the injury fixed. They may as well have been gone in DA2 since the effect was so insignificant.

We need more disabled characters. :) I think injuries and disabilities make people so much more interesting. x

I would actually really like to be able to play a protagonist with a more pronounced hourglass figure.

Yes. DA's pretty good about this and hope ME follows. It's copying! But hey, if they don't want that, they could always open up the character creation some…

This is going back some but i love how Kotor does it. If the other PCs fell in battle then got up after, they'd just limp like the nearly dead they were. It was quite believable.
