I just can't get past it on my first try,the problems are, It will literally trigger the ending cutsence of thanes son AND WONT LET ME DECIDE yes the mission would just randomly end after 3 seconds, Or when I choose the paragon option saying im the health inspector the game just stops and i cant move... The hell? Is there way to fix this?
Thane's loyalty mission is broken...

Could you possibly have a mod that is interfering? One poster recently reported she was not able to launch the SM because of some mod she had installed.

There are a few different bugs with this mission. Sometimes it thinks you are too far away from Joram on the catwalk (even if you are right above him) and it jumps straight to the fail video. Not much to do except try again and take a slightly different path, or stand somewhere different when you need to check in with Thane.

Mods aren't all illegal. I've very recently replayed ME2 with graphic mods without any problem (save for the time it takes). I've played ME3 with graphic mods + extended galaxy mod and I'm Origin. It brings the game to very high resolution and it's nice. ME2 looks really good with the new textures.
As for your problem, you could try repairing the game in Origin first, in case something got corrupted/deleted somehow. That would be my first step. Aside that, make sure you follow Joram very, very, very closely. Don't loose sight of him, ever. There is one item you can pick at some place, but be very, very quick about it.

This happened to me last week. I was able to run past the guy in the room and not interact with him by hugging the wall and running.
Also once the mission failed even tho I was following the mark and updating Thane. It's a pain in the butt.

Always focus on Joram. The bar is crucial, and hard to get right.

I just did this mission yesterday but didn't face any problems-neither did I on my first time. I guess this *thing* happens pretty randomly.

The mission calls for a clear viewing of Joram Talid. Seeing him through the catwalk can fail you - at least on PC.

What ME2 overhaul are you using? I'm using an armor reskin mod, but would love to get the whole game looking pretty.
