Yes. ME2 does not have an online part, so whatever you do, won't effect anyone's game but yours only.
Mods are allowed for ME3 too, as long as they don't modify gameplay elements of multiplayer (so anything is OK in single player, but in MP is texture mods only), but I don't know how hard do they enforce this as the support for MP endend like 3 years ago.
The only thing in Origin that can really break your mods is revalidating the game files.

I have DA:O and DA2 on Origin and they're both modded heavily. Never been a problem. For ME I only use 2 across the trilogy but they've been fine for multiple playthroughs too. ![]()

yeah I've go hair style mods installed on DAO and I have got both hair and costume mods for DAI as well so mods work fine for me. Sometimes after a fwe playthroughs I end up having to remove everything as it starts making bugs show up but it's only a minor headache though as after I've uninstalled and reinstallled everything it starts working fine again.

I've been using graphical mods and I've yet to be banned despite having done so for quite some time. I've also added armor and weapon mods in singleplayer.
I've done the same in Dragon Age: Inquisition and to the same result.

Officially, you can get banned for multiplayer mods in mass effect 3.
Officially.
In reality, however, support and moderation and bans have all been ended as of march 2013. You will not get support for multiplayer, you will not get moderation in multiplayer, they are no longer scanning for modified games in multiplayer, they are not looking for cheaters in multiplayer, and they are not banning people in multiplayer. Not for Mass Effect 3.

Yeah. Turn off "automatically keep games up to date" in the settings. You might still get a message like "an update is available" every once and a while.
