I am playing bit more lately and I am basically just wiping floor all over the map.  Combined with my rather high CP, I must look like special kind of amateur

I still rage gel though, so I hope that counts as some kind of pro behavior.

I also mistake medi gel with cobra launcher some times.

I know what it was referring to. :P Just giving my own opinions. :) Penguins only accept the best when it comes to romance.

Well it's actually a bit confusing because you talk about the slave trade and your idea of romance and I'm like : "hmmm...". Then, you say to trust your judgement because you're a penguin and I'm like : ".... oh......."

Either way, what's romantic is a subjective thing really. What you find romantic may be considered incredibly dull and boring to others. On the other hand, horror, battle and war can be the theatre for incredibly strong and moving moments. I can easily imagine a battered and bloody Grunt having a very romantic moment in the middle of a field of freshly squeezed ravagers on a wiped out Condor.... damn, I have to stop, just thinking about it makes me wanna cry...

Oh, no. I was saying that Illium is to be avoided for safety reasons if you want to have a romantic trip with someone. Because of the fact slavery is common, you wouldn't want either you or your romantic partner enslaved, so it should be avoided.

I know that not everyone will agree with my idea of romance, but hey. It's just my opinion. :)

Safety ? Haha who needs safety with a Krogan bwahahaha ! More seriously, I'm not sure what you reckon the threat level on Illium is , but I didn't get the same reading at all. First of it's a planet with its complex and vast systems, rules, locations etc.. Slave trade is a thing but it fits a very specific kind of situation, it's not like you're gonna get kidnapped and enslaved by a hord of Vorchas during your romantic time with your loved one.

If safety is your main issue then stay clear of places like Tutchanka , much more dangerous, especially during the ME2 timeline. Oh and be wary of Omega, the odds of having your organs taken from you and sold on the black market are much greater there. Then again the thrill of danger can be pretty exciting.

The way I interpreted Illium was a little darker than that. Given the gang presence, slave trade and everything else there is to consider, I viewed it as a place which pretended to be somewhat normal, while actually being very, very dangerous for those taken by surprise. A place where money decides everything. Taking into consideration the missions that happen there, as well as the rules being much more relaxed than they are in council space in matters like product safety, proscribed materials, and trafficking. Quoting the codex, Illium also participates in 'abusive labor practices', and nearly everything is legalized other than murder. It isn't a nice place to be. It's a very dangerous planet, which attempts to look normal. It doesn't have the same danger factor as Tuchanka, but at the end of the day... there are nicer places to be, and much nicer places to take someone on a romantic trip.

Oh, don't get me started about Omega. I can see why it is a necessity in the galaxy - to house the scum that the rest of the ME universe won't accept. But I, in no way, enjoy being there in Mass Effect 2. It makes me sad, in a sense. To think that there are actually people who live there, in those conditions. I feel kind of sorry for the NPCs. :P

Reported. Unfriended. Hiring a Drell to kill you. Such behaviour is unacceptable, even in a penguin! ;)

j/k, appreciating things outside the normal is par for the course in this house, I'm pretty sure we've discussed the living conditions of NPC of various games, if not, we should have and I am disappointed in myself.

Well Omega is pretty dark ! I honeslty don't see how people could leave there, I know I couldn't, you can't even go to the ocean. It also has heart, as ruthless places usually do, and I'm not talking about strippers and red sand haha. I see what you mean about Illium, I see the place as something deceitful. On the surface beautiful, at the apex of technology and civilization but in truth corrupted and praying on the "weak". But as far as immediate danger goes for a romantc trip I think it's pretty safe in this universe. Danger comes in for naive peope hoping to make living, a life and getting slowly drained of everthing they have, becoming the prey or succeed and pray on others. Clearly some similitudes with our soceties in real life.

In the Mass Effect universe it makes me think of the Citadel and what Vega says when he first sets foot on the presidium. He says something about the place being a lie, an illusion that makes people forget about the horrors of the war with its seemingly peaceful aura and elegant design. I always thought that the Catalyst, the child, was a blatant analogy of that : a seemingly pure, innocent being bliding us from the horrible truth of the Reapers and everything they've done. That and a "catalyst" of Shepard's weakness, the symbol of all those people that died on his/her watch, the ones he couldn't save and those he won't be able to, You see how all those deaths become a very heavy burden in ME3. Even the last words of this child are : "you can't help me", first time I've played the intro I thought : "what ? what a weird thing to say" . I get the idea, but it's the phrasing that feels peculiar for a child to say under the circumstances. Yeah you guessed it, I always pick the destroy option. Let them burn and be purified into the flames of the Lord of Light, for the night is dark and full of terrors *dramatic and ominous music playing* (you know the one ).... oooops wrong fiction !

Liked for gif.

I recently finished Battlefield 3 after loaning it out (I got it, and a few other meh games with our second PS3 when we bought it). Was one of the most boring and predictable games I have ever played. I hope, for your sake, that Battlefield 4 is better.

And there is only one GTA. And that was GTA Vice City, the utter corny/cheesiness(FlashBack FM being a highlight of pure cheesy goodness) of it made it amusing enough that I put up with it for longer than any other GTA. For a game so focused on driving, they have one of the worst car control systems ever made.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^  battlefield 4 is much better. I am starting the multiplayer in about 2 hours.  GTA 4 was pretty cool... I thought.   I like vice city as well..I played that one the most out of the series as well.

My wild out of the blue guess is xbox one backwards compat. to 360 for the rest of the mass effect games including me3mp.

I imagine it'll be harder for me3 as it also has the kinect.

Illium has slavery. Personally, I wouldn't want to go. :P There are places way, way more romantic on Earth without the risk of being enslaved. :)

tsktsk...indentured servants .

If you were trying to be romantic, you wouldn't take someone where slavery is common. Much like you wouldn't go to a war zone, or where a natural disaster had taken place, or where crime levels were insanely high. No. You would take them somewhere quiet. Somewhere where it felt like you were the only two people in the world. Where you could focus on each other, and each other alone. Where it was like nothing bad could ever happen, and nothing could ruin the moment. Somewhere tranquil and beautiful, where the only thing more stunning than the surroundings was your partner as you gazed into each others eyes. Somewhere you could take her by the hand, whisper to her that you love her and kiss her gently in the moonlight, and under the gaze of a thousand stars.

But at the end of the day, it isn't what or where that makes a romantic moment. It's who. As long as they're safe and happy, any moment can be a romantic one.

Trust me, I'm a penguin. I know all this.

Bro you've turned me into a puddle of ravager goo. A+!!! I vote TheN7Penguin be a romance option in andromeda.

On topic: most of it is like riding a bike. Getting back into the multiplayer, the only thing I need to work on are my headshots and utilizing auto aim effectively.

I can ask Bioware, but I can make no promises. :P

Oh, yeah, the topic:

When I first went from PC to PS3 a few weeks ago, I kind of didn't understand the whole equipment mapping. So when I needed to, I would just spam the directional buttons and hope for the best. My Quarian would yell about soup, so I'd try and use an ops pack... and then pull out a missile, or use a thermal clip pack. For the few games after that, I had to look at the guide on the screen to be able to use the right equipment. :P
