Oh, it's totally the second best by far, and totally worth playing. Black Flag was ridiculously easy, and Unity was a little harder, but they've got the balance right for combat. Wish I had Black Flag on the PS4 though, they should offer that on PlayStation Plus. :P Anyway, yeah, it's a great game. Surprisingly not glitchy whatsoever. There's also a random portal to WWI which is awesome. :P

Black Flag is available on PS4. So just wait for a sale (they happen often enough), it's really not that good though. Rogue is better. Which I believe is also available on PS4, and usually at cheaper prices than Black Flag.

Was Syndicate the Russian one?

I've played Rogue (I've only ever seen it on the PS3 though) and wasn't a big fan. :P Was good though, I won't deny that.

Syndicate is set in Victorian London. :)

Black Flag is long and boring.  way too many things get in the way of the actual game. I want to skip most of the ship battles..but it doesn't give you the option to do that.

Well if you don't enjoy the sailing part I can understand how boring it can get. I personnaly thought I wouldn't like it, was very reluctant but in the end I really loved it and I still can't believe the amount of time I spent at sea singing pirate's songs, making this my favorite Assassin's Creed yet.

Amongst the many complaints I have about this franchise, one of the major is the way they end the games. I'm not sure why but no matter how much I enjoy the journey, I always get extremely disappointed and frustrated by the last couple of hours of gameplay. There's not a single ending I liked. It's not like I get uspet because I don't want it to stop, I just don't like them. Am I alone in this case ? Am I cursed ?

I do like polar bears. We penguins use them as war horses. We ride them into battle. :P

That was what I first did with my first EVER playthrough on ME3. I stopped before the Cerberus base. That was before I knew how everyone was complaining about the ending, or that it was even one of the final missions. I still have that save game on my PS3. Why? Because no matter how many times I finish the trilogy in my other playthroughs, the story will have never stopped. :P I didn't want it to end. When I was younger, it was rare I actually completed a game for that very reason. :P

Anyway, back to your point about not liking the endings - Assassin's Creed Syndicate actually did it quite well. For most of the game, the story feels somehow disjointed, and you're not exactly sure where you are in the grand scheme of things other than hunting down Templars. But the final mission is awesome. One of the best levels from any game imo. I have a list.

The best video game level that I've ever played is, for me, basically everything that happens during and after the Hotel in Batman Arkham Origins. I just love it, I have no idea why.

Second best is the Suicide Mission from ME2.

Third is the final mission in ME1.

Fourth is the last part of Batman Arkham Knight when you're looking through the Jokers eyes... it's just awesome.

So... I'd reckon the ending of AC Syndicate is about 10th on my list?

I LOVE the AC games! But yes, I agree about the endings not being good in either except for in Syndicate as Penguin said. That game was amazing, I just missed a bit of the more traditional AC style gaming but I loved it otherwise xD

Now counting the minutes for Uncharted 4.... dadadadaaaa!!!! I preordered the Deluxe version from the psn store and I'm just waiting for it to be the released :D

I love the AC games too. Think it was a good idea to not release them every year in the case of Syndicate though. If a game is released every year, the quality DROPS massively. :P Syndicate was awesome though. That confrontation between Starrick and Evie was like the best part of the entire game. :P

I've never played Uncharted... would like to though :P Just never got around to it. I'd NEVER be able to preorder anything from the PlayStation Store though. I'd have to wait for it to be released, and THEN wait for like a year for it to download (no exaggeration~) and THEN I'd be able to play it.

I've played Last of Us a bit and don't feel it deserves all the hype. Don't get me wrong, it has a great story (one of the best in my opinion) and amazing voice actors, but the gameplay is very awkward. I don't regret buying it though because it is a really good game, just a bit disappointing.

So basically, what Penguin said

I think it had a good atmosphere, and good characters. The main weaknesses to TLOU were the gameplay and the story. The story wasn't BAD, but it wasn't exactly a masterpiece.

Yeah, that bittersweet feeling when you get to the end. When something is great, it can be a bit difficult to let go. But that's not what happened to me with the AC games. I also never could liked that animus story line and all the mystical aspect that they developed. I always was way more invested in the main plot, the characters, the wonderful cities, interactions and pure gameplay. All the "present day" stuff always prevented me from fully enjoying the experience, just get me back to the wonderfull Florence by night already !!!  I love mysticism and fantasy in general but what they came up with didn't work for me. So I would have prefered it if the game was more grounded and maybe more character driven and/or historically focused. But hey that's just personal preferences.

I LOVE the AC games! But yes, I agree about the endings not being good in either except for in Syndicate as Penguin said. That game was amazing, I just missed a bit of the more traditional AC style gaming but I loved it otherwise xD

I'm not saying that they weren't good or anything, I'm sure some people liked them and that's okay, they just didn't work for me.

Now that's a franchise that makes me wish I was a console player, the 3 already looked awesome and the few things I've seen from the 4 kinda blew my mind. Luckily there's still a fews things that fullfill my wildest expectations and more on PC, here's a few hints :

- Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, also known as Ciri, The Lion Cub of Cintra, The Lady of Time and Space or Zirael

- Triss Merigold

- Yennefer of Vengerberg

(Clearly not about these characters only, but they add something really.... hmmm....singular, to the whole thing  ;) )

Admittedly, I'd prefer the games without anything modern day or anything like that (you know, until there's an AC game set primarily in the modern day), but they're awesome games. I liked the whole storyline with the Isu and the pieces of eden, but I'm not a fan of the animus concept admittedly. Luckily in Syndicate, the modern day events are basically just a minute of cutscenes every few hours of story. It's barely anything. No missions or anything to do. You just have to watch a small cutscene. :P That was something I liked about the game.

Never could really get into that Eden stuff. At first I was curious and a bit excited but I didn't like how it turned out. Developers can't please everyone I guess. I wonder if they already know how they want to end the saga or if they're just rolling with it.

I hated TLOU so much, I couldn't bring myself to beat it. Imo it was overrated. I bought it originally on the PS3, but couldn't stand how annoying Ellie was, that really put me off from wanting to continue. I only got to Pittsburgh, but just spending 5 hours to get there was enough for me. The gameplay is not great.

I then thought I'd give it another chance on the PS4, and nope I still can't stand the relationship between Ellie and Joel, it reminds me too much of teenage drama. The only character I liked was Tess and she dies early on. I Only got as far as Pittsburgh again.
The graphics and voice acting are great, but the combat and gun fights are boring and repetitive, to me.

I will give them props for making realistic outbreak by using the Cordyceps parasite over a virus.

As for Akir's comeback, all I can say is I can't even imagine what is meant by 'subpar gameplay', and I've never bought a game based on a review.  I pity anyone who ever has, because as far as I can tell they're all supposedly masterpieces. I wonder what other 'masterpiece' I'm missing?  :P

Subpar gameplay as in the fighting mechanics feel clunky and awkward :P Did I make it seem like I buy games solely on reviews? I actually don't do that either. Sometimes I will read reviews if I'm on the fence about buying a particular game to get an idea of what the pro's and con's are. Also, it's pretty easy to spot which reviews are just kissing ass  ;)

I didn't really see a whole point to the game very much besides some filler and some new things which weren't exactly too necessary. Aside from ship combat and mission structure, the game felt watered down compared to Assassin's Creed III which is my favorite game. I don't even remember half of the antagonists and the main antagonist's death was just awful.

AC3 is the worst, bar 1, which I just can't force myself to play.

Even Liberation was better.

I only bought 3 because of the River Valley in Rogue. Such a beautiful area.

But damn, the cities in AC2

I would not have bought or played the games if it wasn't for the absolutely beautiful artwork. The cities almost felt alive. and even just sitting on a rooftop and looking out over the city

It was the beautiful artwork, designs, and architecture that got me into AC. I'm such a sucker for such things. I really am, I wont even try to deny it to protect my manhood, beautiful things are beautiful and should be appreciated for it.

Hate the AC series, repetitive and meh. Come at me nerds.

Also TLOU great game that and the reboot Tomb Raider was a good year for me.

@Ark, PS4 has some good games, MK 10, Fo4 (although I still prefer the Elder Scrolls world) Until Dawn worth a play.
