Well you're probably right. I'm 18. It's half and half. Most the people I know are in their teens and most are in there 30's. But they don't play ME.Are you sure? Just a couple of years ago the majority of gamers were 30+.
Here's one study that says the average is 31. http://venturebeat.c...y-on-a-console/

I have nothing against 18 year old women... looks wise.
I just wouldn't hang around them. Perhaps if I had a gun?

I'm only 18 but if I were in your shoes which is a good 12 to 15 years It really wouldn't matter. As long as it's legal right? But I digress let's get back to the topic at hand.Someone 30-49+ is my prefered dating age limit, I'm a grown man who dates grown women. Now let's get back to Mass Effect.

I wish there was more like that. I'm in my mid 30s. So are a lot of gamers. Yet they generally seem to write for kids (and not just romance writing).
But I resent being called middle aged
Oh, tall and a reasonable age. How do u do

I think Cassandra was literally the best woman character in Bioware history. She was not a young prom queen (but not ugly or anything), she was strong and tough, but also had a quirky romantic side. Also, her lines were some of the best and most thought provoking. "We lash out at the sky?" What is this, an obscure poetry book in a coffeeshop downtown? Sign me the fack up.
I think Cassandra is a good go-to model for future "older women" in games!
I'm sure plenty of ppl would have liked to romance Wynne as well, am I right?

It's just wrong and disgusting to me and moraly wrong, I only date people my age or older because there is actually chance of something permanent.

I often go "no romance", since it's not overly relevant to my enjoyment of the story. If I do take a character through the romance content, it's with Miranda (or very occasionally Liara) for Sheploo, and Kaidan for Femshep. I always leave Ash on Virmire, and everyone else is too alien or too CREEPERific.
All that said, since BioWare is definitely going to keep devoting resources to romance content in my favorite action RPG series, I'd be more than happy to see that content be presented in a more mature, believable, grown-up fashion.

Miranda in ME2 was 35 I believe, can't remember where I read that, but the actress who was her V.O. and face model was only mid twenties. I would totally have romanced Dr Chakwas though if I could even if older ladies aren't really my thing. I'm 34 and tend to go for about 10 years either side.
Yup.. Forgot about that. Miranda and Cass seem to be the only ones.
Maybe Isabela too.

This thread has a very... interesting perspective about what middle aged actually is. You do realise that it's between 45 and 65 years old, right? Anything less than that isn't middle aged, and is still young.
In relation to the topic itself... I, personally, wouldn't romance anyone in a video game who was over 45 years old, and I wouldn't in real life (well, assuming that they were 45 at the beginning of the relationship. If I started a relationship with someone younger and they turned 45, that would be fine). Realistically, I'd draw the line at forty for both a video game and a reality, although someone between the ages of idk 26 and 38 would probably be the ideal age range for me in both instances.

and what is the middle-age in the ME universe? Don't they have a higher age of death than we? so middle age is more like 50-60. ![]()

If you're looking for middle aged women to romance Cassandra from Dragon Age is available. According to her bio she's 38 years old and counting. I agree though, OP. I do hope the romance options for guys isn't some naive teenager-esque girl that somehow happens to wind up in the middle of the hero's story.
Yeah, well that's Dragon Age.

Eh, the poetry was a bit too much, but there was a literary precedent for it, so ok. But the idea is interesting.

I have actually only ever romance Tali in the Mass Effect trilogy, and that was during my first ever trilogy playthrough. Then I started playing renegade femshep, and never romanced anyone ever again.

Well Miranda was 35 in ME2, Tali was the youngest but even she was out of her teens. Ashley was 25, Liara 106(kinda teens for asari so ok),
