Asari creep me out too. That being said, you don't exactly have a good experience with many of them. You meet someone who is essentially a prostitute (I was very disappointed in the first game when I realised I wasn't going to get any credits from the damn consort. I tried telling her that her words were a load of rubbish, then the next thing I know... I only wanted credits :( ). Then you meet someone who is indoctrinated, and her daughter who turns into The Shadow Broker. There's also an indoctrinated Asari that kills some people if you let her live twice... Then there are the Asari mercenaries, Morinth, Samara who is basically a legalised vigilante, the Rachni Queen speaks through a dead Asari, the Thorian sends a load of Asari clones after you... and then to top it off - Banshees!

So yeah, not a good experience. I generally avoid them. :P

They're my favorites of the bunch. But I never thought of them in romantic terms exactly.

I only like Aria occasionally, and for the same reason I occasionally like Jack - they're fun to have confrontations with as renegade femshep.

I think that I can use similar logic on the other races we met, if I list all their evil, weird, corrupt and retarded examples in a line.

You don't have to like the Asari, but your reasoning sucks.

Asari are the most alien of the bunch, I think. Despite looking the most human.

I approve of this. I'm 36 but I don't see myself as middle-aged yet lol.

Also, I think that women like Miranda And Yennefer are pretty sexy looking still at that age, I would guess they're in their thirties. They're my favorite female characters.

Yenn's actually about 100 years old (so is Geralt, by the by), but sorceresses can counter aging to a degree, and Witchers live longer by default.

Myself, I do believe a wide range of romances is best. But I sure won't mind more mature women after Mass Effect shoved Tali and Liara in our face so much.

Oh, you misunderstand. What I said wasn't my reasoning, they were entirely different points. "Asari creep me out too" and "You don't have a good experience with them", were in no way connected. The second was just an observation. Apologies. :P

Liara was a bit, and so was the VS, but Tali?  Even in the only game you have the oppoutunity to hook up with her (assuming you recruited her and are the correct gender), default recruited "mature woman" Miranda is far more "shoved in our face" (no, they quite literally shove her arse in my face every other camera angle even when I try to play a hetero Femshep).

I agree, Tali wasn't really shoved in your face.  Liara ninja-mances you in ME1 if you aren't careful.

I'm not gonna lie. My Shepard wanted a piece of aria. It's a shame.

I bet Kahlee Sanders looks like sandpaper outside of the game. No thanks.

In the future old people don't look as old. She is 47 in ME 3 but it's stated she looks more 33.

Yeah, a few just mentioned this. I had no idea about Yens age. I love The Witcher 3 but somehow I've missed their age, how old they are lol. Maybe it's because I've never played the previous games idk. She's still gorgeous which is even MORE amazing now then considering her age! Lol :D

Well, she does look good for a hundred, I'll give you that. :P I've only played the Witcher 3 once at my friends house. It's something I need to play myself, really.

I don't think any of the SR2 crew really fell into the terrorist category. TIM carefully selected them, in part, so that Shepard would see an extremely sanitized vision of Cerberus. I think this applies to Miranda, too, even as a cell leader.

Remember, cells aren't privy to the specifics of other cells' work. None of the jobs we've seen her do are anything less than noble. Her work with Jacob was pretty heroic, as was her work with the Lazarus cell, culminating in a suicide mission to save humanity. She was idealistic and quick to make excuses for Cerberus because she hadn't seen their true face, yet. Putting principles ahead of practicality, and choosing the dangerous life of a fugitive, she defies TIM and quits Cerberus if Shepard chooses to destroy the Collector Base. She's unwilling to go as far as TIM is willing to go because she's no terrorist.

That's my experience with the character, at least. I've enjoyed all of the characters in ME, without exception. I know the experience varies a lot based upon how the player interacts with them each playthrough.

Miranda just cared about colony defense. I'm not the biggest fan, but she's a believer in their better qualities. That's why she gives up on TIM, if you destroy the collector base. Or gets appalled at her dad's actions.

Both good and accurate points. It is important to remember that what the player knows and what the player's character know are two separate things in Bioware games, as Bioware often steps 'outside the character' to give you information to advance the narrative we see this with Saren's cutscenes in Me1 or Miranda and TIMs opening conversation in ME2 as two examples. And while this is often something that players can forget they are even more likely to forget that what they know or their Character knows is more often then not, NOT what other NPCs know. We often learn secrets that are utterly unknown to the general public or even by the 'establishment' it is important to not make the mistake and think our knowledge is common knowledge within the gamescape.

So while we may know about some terrible experiments done during ME1, Miranda is likely ignorant of the details and told 'spin' by TIM to make it look like people went against what Cerberus stands for so if Shepard brings it up she isn't swayed. Also if all you see are positives by an organization because they know revealing the truth to you will lose them a valuable asset they are going to lie to you, and thus keep you in the dark so they can still use you for their agenda.

As for the OP post. I find that people often see what they want to see in romances. People often equate Liara to a young teen girl but she was a woman with an established decades long career running a dig with no direct oversight not what I would call a 'teen.' Unless you know think universities are just going to give some teen money for a archaeological dig and place them in charge, because I don't.

I don't understand why people say this!

I've played Mass Effect as 20 times and I've never EVER been ninjaromanced by Liara. Even if you reject Kaidan before meet her, she  will approach you as "I thought you and Alenko had a relantionship" (me: wha?) and you really have to chose to pursue a relationship with her in order to get her romance (answering that the feelings are mutual and stuff. Hell, you can even reject her gently, neutral and harsh, something that doesn't happen with Alenko which you have to be an ass if you want not to be romanced by him).

The only time I almost got her romance was the moment I tried to get theat scene where Alenko and her ask you to chose. Depending on how you respond to Liara when she declares she is attracted to you, you can be rejecting Alenko's romance withouth knowing. THAT is the only time I almost have been ninjamanced.

So... BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF! If Liara ninjamanced you, YOU pursued that in the bottom of your heart AND YOU KNOW IT. Stop being an ass with her, YOU KNOW YOU LOVE HERRRRR!!!
