I feel objectified every time the camera panned in on my headless torso. Hey, eyes up here.

Nah, hetero males got the short end of the stick in DA:I. We got to choose from a really really boring romance with no nuance and....another really boring romance with no nuance.

yeah

I went into DAI this time as a Qunari, fully intending to romancing Solas. What can I say? *dons voice of Drago from Rocky 4* "I wanted to break little man."

But then come to find out that you can't romance him unless you're an elven female. fml

true. I remember I kind of wanted to romance traynor in ME 3 but...... That was a problem. Besides who wears clothes in showers. Jeez.

Gay guys also got screwed over badly in the LI department. Getting a PSA character instead of an actual character then once again, another bisexual character that screws anything that move that only talk about women outside of the protagonist and Dorian. I would have love to see at least one bisexual male that prefers guys, have that ever happened before?

you see Dorian was cool. You have no idea how many girls I've heard want to get with him.

More girls like and romance Dorian than most gay guys I know. Dorian is like the stereotypical gay best friend girls like to have, they're a common stereotype of gay guy and his hag. I have girls talking about wanting a gay best friend all the time.

My absolute favorite part of Dragon Age Origins was a dramatic shot -- of my dwarf's eyebrows and Alistair's chin. Later experimentation showed me it was SUPPOSED to be our faces, but female dwarves.

Regarding getting on topic -- It'd be nice. Something a bit different, I guess. Usually it's the gals who get the salt and pepper hair. It looked pretty amazing on Kaidan, but still. That being said, if there's going to be two choices, one of them should probably be a crowd pleaser. Someone attractive, standard issue cute, friendly, blah blah blah. The other one can probably be a bit crazy.

I've been pretty happy with Bioware in regards the mix of LI's. While there's always been the ingenues Tali/Liara/Merrill etc but there's also been the likes of Miranda/Izzy etc to provide the counterpart. I'd probably say no to the notion of an even older (Chakwas like) romance as unless there's going to be a larger number of romance options that's going in a more nice direction.

I think that eg. Chakwas and Adams were the only... hmm...  "sensible" people aboard the normandy at times.

Those 2 as romance options or atleast more interactions with them... could only have worked to cancel out the... sometimes ... sillyness of... "I am omega", "shadow broker", whatever emo teen drama shenanigans...

By the sheer virtue of being decently mature, highly competeng tho still fallible beings, being professional and doing their jobs.

I have gay friends and trust me they live up to that girls best friend stereotype.

That's a bit sad that it doesn't represent the majority of the gay population. They just stand out because they're the most obvious, I guess. Most people assume all gay guys are like that because of that is how gay guys are being portrayed in the media and they're the most obvious to spot. Still, treating gay guys like some kind of accessory and gay guys allowing themselves to be treated like that instead of individual beings are just sickening. At the end of the day, being gay is just about sexual orientations, there is no gay fashionista gene. You wouldn't know that by watching TV.

what does this have to do with middle aged romanceable women?

What? Don't you see, they are sad that their fantasy woman isn't created just for them so they most prove it by showing all the option they had that they didn't liked so everybody can see how unfair it is.

Or it is just a off topic discussion like always. Not sure.

Given the (relatively) large amount of likes I'm being given for what I've been saying in this thread, I can only assume that women in their thirties like being called young. Who knew? :P

Just stating a fact. No need to like it, ladies.  ;)

Could you even tell with video games? How would they make them look thirty? Cassandra and Lelianna both look pretty young, and they're in their late 30s'.

Not sure the point of this thread, unless you want to get to the age where aging is actually noticeable like Dr. Chakwas or something.

Well, I don't think I'd peg DAI Cassandra as being younger than 30 -- not sure about DA2 Cassandra.

Leliana does look a bit on the young side for her calendar age, I thought.

I actually thought Leliana looked younger in DA:I than she did in the rest of the series... no idea why. :P I was actually talking about like reality though. I said somewhere back a few pages about how I didn't think that 30-40 was old or at all considered middle aged, and between the comments they amounted to quite a few likes. :P

Cassandra is 37, they said, Lelianna should be at least in her late 30 as well.
