Aria is like most characters in this series: Wasted potential. She's okay but there is one part that really bothers me about her. We're talking about a person who inexplicably has some kind of pull with other galactic authority figures that she can just ring them up on a whim to get some low level paper pusher out of her face yet she cant muster up an army necessary to push TIM out of her home, or just go find/make a new one? The impression this left me with is that Mac Walters loved his character too much to see her brought low, and that irritates me.

The Illusive Man is an influent person like Aria,he has many infiltrated agents in many places of the Galaxy, planets suporting his cause, dozens of space stations,a private Army and...Reaper tech...

He has shown his power many times during ME2 and specially during ME3,and yet, some people still underestimate him.

Cerberus would be able to beat Terminus mercs any day,and with Reaper tech,it isn't even a fair match...

The fact that Cerberus would divert troops to take over a hive of scum and villainy is also pretty dumb now that I think of it. It's like they think of scenarios that they can turn into DLC first and then how it all relates to the core plot is just an after-thought. Also Cerberus having the means to take over said hive of scum and villainy is not what's in question, it's the idea that a deposed mobster would still have any kind of pull that's in question. Doubly so when you put it in the context of an "End of the world" scenario where the entire galaxy is in a time of crisis.

I <3 Aria.

I don't know what the hell it is about her. I usually strongly dislike characters that are selfish, criminals, and the like. But I guess I've always had a soft spot for girls (and guys) that could kick my ass. Plus, whatever her morals or attitude, she's an important ally. Aria makes me feel that my Shepard found her match, and yet it turns out they can help each other out despite being on different sides of the morality spectrum. My (paragade) Shepard also recognises that Aria is the only form of law on Omega and without her things might be much worse. Wasn't it her who was trying to make sure the plague didn't spread by closing the infected parts of the slums? She's literally the only authority Omega has. When you meet her in ME3, she seems to be one of the very few people with a brain, recognising what needs to be done and trying to help with that in her own way.

I certainly can't deny she has most of the flaws mentioned here. She's ruthless, arrogant, selfish, etc. But I also think she's earned her place and people probably have a very good reason, or several, not to "f**k with" her. So, yeah, she's one of those mean bastards that I can't help but love. I find her attitude amusing. Maybe it helps that I've never felt that my Shepard would feel threatened by her in any way, so I can enjoy the dramatic performance.

Aria is awesome. She will always put herself first everytime of course, but you can feel that paragon side of hers. It gets confirmed when Nyreen enters the scene in Omega.

She is that rare case where an arrogant character is awesome. I like it.
