I have a question about the Golden Nug in which is unique to my situation( Well at least to me ) that I hope I can explain properly, so here we go!

 

Ok to start off with, I have beaten all three of the main games multiple times, but only with ONE main save. I'm planning to finally give different races and different playthroughs a chance. I wanna have at least three alternate universes in my Keep, but before I do that, I want to redo and replay my main save one last time.

                                                                          

So for Ex:                      

                                                                                      Old Main Save

 

DA:O= Nero Cousland -> DA:2= Damian Hawke -> DA:I= Thalisan Trevelyan

 

 

                                                                              New and Redone Main Save

 

DA:O= Redone Nero Cousland -> DA:2= Redone Damian Hawke -> DA:I= Redone Thalisan Trevelyan

 

( I made my characters look the same, but fresher. I did this cause my old Warden and Hawke looked like crap cause I was playing on the 360 at the time.)

 

 

 

 

 

So my question is if I delete my Old Main Save, and I mean delete save from Hardrive(Xbox One) and characters from Keep, will I still be able to use all the schematics I've collected in my Old Main Save for the New and Redone Main Save?

( And yes I know I could just leave my old saves alone and in Keep, but I don't wanna do that. I want my Keep to look neat and not have characters with the same names together )

The sync with the Golden Nug has nothing to do with your saves, but rather your Origin account. Since you have completed the game at least once and used the Golden Nug, all of that stuff will be there until the end of time, synced with your Origin account.

 

You can safely delete all saves everywhere without concern.

 

For your new play, be sure that you are online and logged into your Origin account. Only then will you be able to actually see the Golden Nug statue and sync to it. Once you have done that and the sync is complete (it takes a bit to get everything) you can safely go offline at that time. Be sure to save once the sync is complete. Once you have saved, all of those items are now just baked into your save from that point on.

Yessss, thank you very much! But what do you mean by the bold? Do you mean it will take me awhile to get every schematic, or it will take me awhile to sync all my old schematics to my new character?

When you click the Golden Nug for the first time on a new/young character, it takes a couple of minutes for the whole sync to be complete. This is especially true if you have everything unlocked from the previous save, simply because there is just so much for it to go through. You will see a continuous scroll of messages and then it will announce that it is complete.

Yeah, best to log in, create your character, get to haven, go to the Chantry then run to the Nug, sync. Now run about and do all of the looting and in Haven starter quests you can w/o leaving that map. Everything will be synced by the time you get that done and, you can then craft very overpowered equipment, a trip to the Black Emporium helps get materials faster too.
