To keep it quick. I gave up on DAI for a long list of reasons, many of which have finally been fixed. So I decided I would finally start a "full" play-through.
A considerable way into the game (20+hours playtime), and I've discovered that my world state apparently did not import correctly. Varric's descriptions of what happened to Hawke's companions after the endgame are completely opposite my choices in the Keep, for example, and he speaks of his brother as being dead (or at least, he uses language like "my brother WAS"). I definitely exported the world state correctly and check on the import side of things when starting the new game to be sure the date matched-up because I knew people had issue with this.
But still, it appears not to have actually worked. (Again, as far as I can tell). I don't enjoy DAI enough to give it more than one full play-through, so it needs to have the correct world-state as a baseline.
The quick questions: 1) If I just start over and try again (*groan*), I would like to cheat my way to the earliest point where I can determine whether or not my world state imported correctly. Realistically, is there any way to do so? Alternatively, is there any way to correct the world-state now in-game? Through console commands? (i.e. Godmode combat on casual to make it fast, or better yet insta-gib my way though all encounters until I'm back to where I am now, add items, etc. etc. I'm not sure I have the heart to slough through the early part of the game again the normal way...)
I guess that's it. What a bummer... Thanks for any help you can provide. I guess I'm just looking for some general tips I could use to try and correct this situation and / or make recovering from it take as little time as possible.
