People's heads already explode, what more do you want?
I think gore works well in a game like Fallout. It makes VATS more entertaining. But not in Mass Effect. I don't want a gore fest while I'm playing ME:A. It would serve no purpose. Just mindless violence.

Gore provides realism in my eyes. I'm all about realism. I know it's a video game but you know how it is. Doesn't have to be gears but I just like a.limb ripped off or a body dismembered now and then.People's heads already explode, what more do you want?

There are armour and helmets in the game. The amount of gore visible in most situations would probably be negligible.

well..... When your shooting mini mass accelerators at a target with no Shields it tends to get a little bloody. There are armour and helmets in the game. The amount of gore visible in most situations would probably be negligible.

I liked the dark "creepy" missions if that's what you mean. I wouldn't mind more of those kinds of missions or areas.
I think he was meaning more blood and guts. But yeah, I like those missions too. The Husk mine in ME2, Sanctuary in ME3... great missions. ![]()

I wouldn't mind that either lol, nothing scares me in these video games, not even those supposedly "creepy" games or survival horror games, though I do love playing them

I wouldn't exactly call the gore in Fallout games realistic.
Neither would I. ![]()

It's not a case of being scary, I don't think.
I just think lots and lots of blood would look a little out of place in Mass Effect. But yeah, I love survival horror games. They have such an awesome atmosphere.

I'm all for it as long it makes sense and it's not there just for shock value. I'd say the lack of it can make a scene rather funny and implausible. Like when Jenkins gets shot in ME1 and Kaidan comments on how it "ripped through his shields", but you can't see any burns or wounds, yet Jenkins is dead. I'm not complaining, mind you, because ME1 is oldish and they seemed to have remembered to add some blood to other scenes and there are still charred corpses lying around, but it would make perfect sense for Jenkins' scene to have some, too. So, yes, I'd love it if Andromeda would make reasonable use of blood and gore. With the emphasis on reasonable. I have nothing against this element as such, but I don't think every game needs to be a goreporn horror shooter, either. We have other games for that.
I guess I generally enjoy Dragon Age: Origins' level of gore when it comes to BW games. When you lop an enemy's head off, the animation looks the part. Cutting somebody with a dagger results in small blood spray. Your party get blood stained when engaging in melee. Killing an enemy with the Walking Bomb spell results in a huge, bloody explosion. Fresh kills get a growing puddle of blood underneath them. Etc. Good stuff, imo.

Yes. When I hit an enemy center-mass with a round from a high powered rifle, I want to see their alien guts spilling out onto the battlefield from the massive crater I just put into them.

As long as it is not the case as with every film rated 12 ever, where people die without blood or injury, then I am all for it.

I would like to see enemies with crippled limbs - like, when you shot guy in the legs he starts crawling or if you shot him in the arm he drops his main weapon and starts using his pistol... things like this.
Also, enemies could surrender or running away (for regroup) when we kill more than half of their squad... that also would be nice.
