1   Something that I would really like is the ability to give my save game any name I wish.

EXAMPLE :: "Before I go to Wherever"

2. Thing is I reach some points in the game that I think Hey, I would like to come back here, and try this differently, or maybe I just want to play a certain mission again at this particular spot, with this particular Character at this particular Level.

However the Game save of "savegame11/15/2117 3:31 AM" is really hard to find, and go back to.

3. I know I could write "savegame11/15/2117 3:31 AM" down, or notepad it or something like that, but it would really be nice if I could give it a special name.

4. I guess consoles have taken that ability from us, it was something that use to be very common with most games allowing you to name the save what ever you liked.  Consoles have removed a lot of little things that use to be helpful, and common with PC gaming.

But I think in most any RPG for sure, I think it would be nice to be able to give some saves a personally chosen name.

Yeah. That would be pretty helpful.

I agree completely.  When I look at savegames and inventory systems in games today I sometimes feel like technology has been moving backwards over the last 20 years.  That's the opposite of how it's supposed to be.  I like hard saves that are meaningful so I can glance at a folder and say "oh yeah, that was right before I headed to Rannoch, I can delete that".

Yeah, this would be nice... also, the ability to make a copy of save files to a secondary device on console (which some games do allow on console, but ME doesn't).  There were numerous times when I wanted to save at a particular "junction" points so that I could replay that section and take the game save in a different direction from that point forward (and still compare it to the first playthrough of that save).

It's a waste of time. Save 1 works a lot better.

Yes, I agree completely with this. I do make certain saves to go back and see how certain moments go different, to re see certain scenes in the game or as something to go back to later to get a clip I want to use. It would be very helpful to be able to name them.

Yes please.

I've done this for all my Mass Effect saves, where I save before a certain mission I love, and love to replay through, like Noveria, or any of the ME3 Tuchanka missions.

Instead of having to write down the saves, the date of the save, and the time so that I know which save to load up to replay a mission, I'd like the ease of just getting to name it so I know it for quick reference.

Would make it a lot easier.  :)

Yes. Yes, I've missed this since BW stopped allowing it. I like to name my saves in order to return to particular moments and quests, as well. And there's nothing worse than having several saves with the same name, just because you've been hanging around/returning to the same area for extended periods of time. Not long ago I was looking for a particular dialogue on the Normandy in ME2 and I almost gave up because I have a ton of other Normandy saves.

I'd like an option to have every post and thread hidden if it doesn't contain some known fact about the game

Wonder why this wasn't a feature to begin with...

This has been discussed many a times before. It's still a good idea. But, i think the game suffers from consolitis where naming a saved game is not an option given to the player.

I must be the only person, and PC gamer here, to disagree.  I absolutely hate breaking my immersion to have to save the game, think up a name which is usually my first name followed by Roman numerals, just to go on.

I loved the way it was in ME3, DAI, ME2, DA2.  Whatever you did in those games, keep doing that when it comes to save games.

Not a bad idea.  Not sure how much I would utilize it, but wouldn't mind if it was included.

Also I agree that it is amusing to think about various features in PC games that have regressed or disappeared since the beginning of the century.

That's what I do.  I haven't saved in a BioWare game in like forever.  Of course, it's F6 in ME1.  I always forget that until I die.  Then I'm cursing at myself for not remembering it.

I always change the ME1 controls to ME2-3.  But yeah, I've done that myself.  Saving often does get frustrating in games like Fallout.

Yes. I hate not being able to do this. It pisses me off to no end. For godsake don't do what DAI did and CAP saves! We do not need to be capped! ****** hell even console players don't need to be capped. They aren't babies they can handle managing their saves.

I can usually remember which slot is which but then again I use them regularly. I don't see why you shouldn't be able to.

They capped saves?  That doesn't seem necessary.  I have so many different playthroughs that I give the first name a small description of what type of character it is, e.g. dirtbag, nice_guy, 100%, etc.

Yes, DAI capped saves on both PC and console. Console was at I think 50 and PC was at 250. Across all characters. While on PC its a high number it wasn't hard for me to hit that across only 5 characters. The game is huge and I saved before major battles or major plots. It is just plain weird, we aren't children. I have more than enough space to house as many saves as I desire.

Definitely! I've been wanting this too for a very long time. Sadly a lot of games lack this option, it's not just ME or DA. It would help tremendously though, especially because I often forget when and where I made a particular save due to short term memory problems I have because of a condition, I'd love this option, it would help me out SO MUCH!
