I'm not a big fan of the nomex-looking Light Armor suits from ME1. They just didn't look like they'd be up to the challenge, in my opinion.

And I don't like the heavy armor look in ME2 and 3, that's why there should be an option for both.

I much prefer Skyrim's Daedric Armor but restyled to a space-age battle armor. The demonic elements are perfect for renegade players.

That's why I'm hoping for a component system. If we start with that pressurized suit as the base, we can add desired components or modules as desired or needed. We could get a ton of variety out of it, and maybe come close to pleasing everyone (which is impossible, naturally).

I like a lot of the light armor stuff.. at least in the sense that it frees up artists to do more things. I don't want everyone looking like they came from NASA or Warhammer.. or some combo of the two. The whole comic booky look is something ME has going for it.

I think it would look too creepy... I hate bugs! There were those little spider things in Mass Effect 3 weren't there??? I hated them... and there were giant spiders in Skyrim... when I first saw one I had to pause the game for about ten minutes to pluck up the courage to fight it. Games like these need less bugs x

One thing I like about the Mass Effect 1 armour designs is that they look like a fairly logical evolution of this MIT non-pressurised space suit concept, with some ceramic armour plating and general future gubbins glued on.

I like some of the heavier designs from the later games, too, but I'd definitely appreciate having some more ME1-style options available in Andromeda, as part of whatever modular system we're getting. (I feel like some mention was made of a substantially expanded version of the ME2/3 modular system back around when Andromeda was first announced.)

To be clear, it's not so much the 'realism' of those ME1 designs that appeals to me - I've never been much of a stickler for that sort of thing, growing up on classic space opera - but the general aesthetic. The resemblance to actual space suit concepts is definitely a pleasant bonus, though.
