I have the hi-res mod installed for ME1. Anyone know if I do this "update" will I have to re-install the mod?
Probably. I got a ~4gb update to ME1 last year and it returned the textures and .ini files to default.

I always set games to not auto update for this reason. All the games I play, such as ME1-3, Skyrim, STALKER, Fallout are almost always heavily modded.
No update for me but then I have auto game updates disabled to avoid messing up mods. Before I installed MEUITM I clicked 'check for updates' on ME and it suggested there was a 10GB update, so I just cancelled it assuming it was just redownloading everything. I did find a nice surprise to see that Origin ME comes with both DLC now which is nice, as I've never played Pinnacle Station. I know it's supposed to be poor, but free is free!

Hmm, I wonder if that is what my "update" is? I have both BDtS and Pinnacle Station installed but only PS was done through Origin.
BDtS and Pinnacle Station have always been part of the Origin digital download....
if you have only one (or none) you have the retail version. Fortunately you can redeem your retail product code on Origin and get the right to the digital download.

No, they have not. I bought the digital dl of ME1 via Origin and it had neither. I had to find BDtS somewhere else (it wasn't even available through Origin) and Pinnacle Station was a separate purchase later on.

Sorry youre right - if it installed under the EA games program directory then you have the 'retail' version even if it was a download: if its under the Origin Games program directory then you get both
I should add - my ME1 is a retail disc. I added the key to Origin recently, and I was trying to manually install BDtS, not knowing it was already on. It kept failing, so I just gave up and opened ME from Origin and noticed they were both there in the menus. Sweet!
