So I'm trying to take screenshots of the maps in BG2, and of course every time I go to the map screen, I get that green square centered around my character in the map. Is there anyway I can view the maps without the green square so I can take screenshots of the game maps without that feature?

I always use Near Infinity to export game maps as PNG files. You can export both the small map used for the map screen and the much larger map used for the normal game screen.
