I just hope that Sam Hulick and Jack Wall are making the music/OST

Yes to David Buckley. His stuff is really good, like the score he did for The Good Wife season 5 and other stuff.

Jesper Kyd would be a cool one to see do Mass Effect Andromeda, but this is just wish listing now.

Wouldn't really have a place in Andromeda, but I love this from David Buckley

Hope so. I would prefer Hans Zimmer actually, love his work.

This is my favourite.

In my opinion, the best balance would be to bring back a veteran of the franchise, like Sam Hulick or Jack Wall, and then surround them with some fresh blood: composers new to the franchise. That way, you can keep some of the original Mass Effect identity, but can also make it fresh, appropriate for a fresh start for the franchise.

Some composers who can be good for MEA: Jesper Kyd, Lorne Balfe, even Trevor Morris could work.

If we go for heavy weights, Hans Zimmer or Jeremy Soule would be fantastic. Zimmer's resume speaks for itself, and he can pull off great space soundtracks like in Interstellar. Soule has worked for Bioware in the past on KOTOR, and his ambient soundtracks both in KOTOR and Skyrim are fantastic, perfect for exploring new planets.

Ideally, we would target a soundtrack that's a mixture of Interstellar's and Skyrim's awe and wonder inspiring moments, all mixed with a Mass Effect sound. Throw is some synth for good mesure, and we would be set :)

As long as Zimmer doesn't go full Wagner, then he'd definitely be a great composer to have, as he does have a great range.

Alternatively, Yoko Shimomura another one of my favourites, would be an interesting one since some of her work is incredible.

actually, i hope Mass Effect Andromeda (and the franchise) knows that it should preserve the work of art that was Mass Efectuar music/soundtrack.. that's why, i am as a fan, expecting to hear the musics we already know from the past games in Andromeda along with new ones.

As it happens with ST or Starwars.

Those themes should be preserved within the franchise

I was just listening to Sam Hulick's new album:

Full versions of the above songs can be found here, and as I listened through the entirety of the music it brought that nostalgia of ME1.

Ugh, why does metal make everything sound so much better?

Now I'm not saying ^this would fit or suit Mass Effect, just love how amazing this metal cover is of what was a fairly symphonic track before.

It would be cool if Inon Zur was the composer for MEA... but I doubt that's going to happen.

Vangelis or GTFO.

Just kidding, but seriously, they better bring the synth to Andromeda.

ETA:  If they have to bring in some new people (I would love more Wall and Hulick), I say go with my avatar and give Junkie XL a shot at Mass Effect.

While I don't think not having them means breaking the soul of the franchise, I really hope for Sam Hulick's return. Wouldn't mind Christopher Lennertz back as well. Though, in my opinion, we should get veterans of ME mixed with "fresh blood". Keep ME feeling while distinguishing it from the trilogy.

I like Hinson's remix of the Noveria theme:

His tracks for ME2, in particular Samara, are among the best in the score.

Shinobi's recent comments about how the parts of the score for ME:A which he's heard are reminiscent of ME1 may mean that type of sound isn't going to be in ME:A ,which is alright.  I started replaying the series and just went underneath the freighter to confront the Thorian. The music is remarkable and well suited. Hopefully, ME:A can create that balance of sound and setting based on the foundation of the franchise while moving into new expressions distinct from ME2/3.

Steve Jablonsky plz

Eh, his stuff is alright, but he's basically a poor man's Hans Zimmer, and not in a particularly good way.

I'm not opposed to the originals returning, but I'm pretty open to whomever Bio chooses to make the OST. They have such a good track record to me that I'm confident I'll like who they get.
