I wanted to work on my Druffy's bane, so I thought maybe I could just keep killing the dragonlings and not touch the dragon.  It does work... if you want to wait 1 min and 35 to 45 sec between kills.   Turns out if you don't damage the dragon's HP, he will stay on the ground for that amount of time.   You don't have to do anything.. could even stay by the stairs where he  can't hurt you. Damaging his guard doesn't count as damaging him/her.  

 

But you don't want to do this when he got full HP.  At full HP, he only send about 3 dragonlings per round after you.   I found the best is when he is at about 1/3 HP.. he sends 2 rounds of dragonlings.. about 12 to 14 of them.   But when he is almost dead.. he sends less.. only 7.. don't ask me why.   So I got over 70000 xp in Perilous FC solo.. just by killing dragonlings..  Now I have like 1800 to go....  so if I could kill 10 dragonlings every 2 min... I just need to do this for 6 more hours....

I have been working on that as well! Actually, trying to kill three birds (sort of), with one stone. Have been using the time to also finish off my Great Sword and Maul challenges. Stupid great axes....for like the first two months I played, all I ever got was Great Axes, and a handful of very low end Great Swords. And of course, it goes without saying, my lovely Valor is shelved while I work on these challenges.....usually.
