why not? He's been reliable so far.I don't trust Shinobi.
So, Shinobi said a bunch of things about Andromeda at the NeoGAF forums

...Why does this demo look better than the actual game? I WANT THAT INTERFACE.
Haha! I'm not seeing it, guys.
Aside from being curious about what type of storylines we might've gotten, had the budget allowed for more, I feel nothing but nostalgia when I see that trailer. I hadn't watched that in years! It's cool to see it again. That said, the gameplay, the HUD, the galaxy map, the graphics, those silly rifles... everything looked terrible! You could tell that was still a long way from release.

Because he has that actor from Jurassic Park avatar. I don't like that guy.

If it really is like a bigger, more polished version of ME1 then I'm 100% down(assuming the writing is on point). I still see ME1 as the highlight of the series, despite the clunky gameplay.
I don't believe you. You have a Jack avatar. ![]()
ME1 didn't have enough of that.... whatever it is.

Just because mai waifu didn't come along 'til ME2 doesn't mean ME1 wasn't the greatest.

Agreed. But it's still the greatest for many other reasons.
Hell, I'll even say the Hammerhead was better than the Mako. If only because there was arcadey gameplay incorporated with it. Some of those levels had some decent patterns to work through... there just wasn't enough of it.
And that's one of the weakest points of ME2.

While it is definitely nice to hear all these, most of the things he said were subjective and not really concrete. Better animations, more things to do....yes we've been hearing that every time a new game launches, mostly buzzwords and marketing as the end result may not always reflect these promises or live up to the hyped up expectations.
It is also an unfinished game with quite a lot of time remaining for its launch and I've never really heard of this guy either. I wouldn't be too hasty to jump on the hype bandwagon and I'll believe it when I see it. But it would be pretty cool if it was mostly true, so thanks for sharing the info Op.

To remind everyone of what is probably meant by that.
Wait, you could play other squad members??? AAARRGGHHH I want that so bad, in every game of trilogy. ![]()
Spiritual successor to ME1... and then he talks about the stuff to do on planets.
That stuff sucks. Even when done well. Why is it something to be excited about? And since when did the Mako have tons of fans. That sucked too. Unless I lived in a hole and never played a game with a vehicle....ever.
I liked the big urban zones like the Citadel or ME2. And an established human element within it (the good and bad). And I liked the roleplaying/dialogue game. ME1 had some of this, but the premise for the new game doesn't seem to lend well to it. They keep talking about the landscape itself as the legacy of ME. For the third time, that **** sucked.
Ikr, I'm with you on this one.

My first reaction reading that was - Ahhh, *and unclench*, it'll be okay. ![]()
Buuutttt.....now I'm getting worried and this is entirely on a personal level. I. don't. want. Bethesda. level. open. world. gaming. FortheloveofGod. ![]()
From what ppl have been saying in press releases, and now this, it looks like a huge expansive world with fetch quests and I want to cry. I hate that, WoW killed any enjoyment that type of gaming could bring me, then Skyrim shot it dead again, just in case. I hate it as it inevitably waters down the content.
The best rhythm any ME game had for me, personally, was ME3. Big missions with interesting side missions I could play whenever I pleased.
If DAI had 50% more side quests and 50% less open world it would've been way better imo.
I think it's time to install my sad face an accept the inevitable. ![]()

Well OP thanks for the info....I'm officially HYPED now. ME1 is still my favorite game of all other BW games. While it was graphically and combat-wise inferior to later installments...it still makes me come back to play it once every year....it's because of the atmosphere of the game...to be part of a larger universe for us to explore and experience, combined with the retro-futuristic music that made it by far the most immersive BW game I've ever played.
I still remember ME1 fondly as the first love, maybe idealized but you can totally feel BW ambition in that game as proved by the early-concept trailers we saw of ME. While ME2 and ME3 although good games were less ambitious with linear levels and no sense of being part of a wider galaxy.
It's comforting for me that they want to take inspiration from ME1 to create a space-opera to feel immersed in (I remember the decontamination processes, the elevators and the companions actually wearing proper armors). I personally had enough of ME2 cat-suits, masks and daddy issues and ME3 linear shooting galleries and space ninjas.
I'm literally hyped with the idea of modern technologies surpassing the evident ME1 tech limits to create finally a ME game that will finally met that ambitious project we saw in the early trailers of ME1.
Also there was this trailer of early game concept if you recall

Spiritual successor to ME1? That makes my decision easy. Skip this one.
A reasonably well written story! The horror! Games should be about shooting waves of Cerberus Troops and standing around being forced to sit through listening to one-liner spouting ninjas, not being immersed in intriguing sci-fi universes! Stupid nerds are ruining the lives of us true fans of shooting dudes.

Both the Mako and the Hammerhead sucked in execution.
But I think the MEA Mako, for the little they shown and said, might be in some way a middle ground between those.

In the beginning, I did take the long way round on the Citadel in ME1, but being thorough with even the smallest of side quests, my patience got pretty thin, especially with those gorram keepers.
I liked spamming Makos in the Citadel
