Now that multi-disk backward compatibility is a thing:

http://uk.ign.com/ar...s-compatibility

Fancy replaying the trilogy / enjoying multiplayer on XB1?

I would, ahead of MEA if it would happen.

I would love too, but I think a lot of it is has to do with EA not being into BC scene because they keep saying that "they're wanting to focus more on the here and now" I mean they could have made both Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II BC on the Xbox One by now both are popular single disk games.

I wouldn't be surprised if EA is the biggest AAA publisher with has the least number of BC games on Xbox One. They have came up with every single excuse not to make their games BC. I think right now the ONLY way would be if Xbox One players would be willing to buy all their games and DLC at full price then you see how fast they would make their games BC on Xbox One.

Well, we know that EA/BioWare were up for backward compatibility as Mass Effect was a BC launch title.

This gives them a relatively easy way to relaunch ME 2/3 without pursuing the definitive edition they considered but decided not to build.

I was hoping the backwards compatibility circlejerk would stay on /r/masseffect. It's like cancer for the PC gamers seeing you all suffer when a solution is already available.

Mass Effect 1 wasn't published by EA (Microsoft Studios)

I hate playing PC games, the last time I played a PC game it was the most miserable and horrible experience gaming experience of my whole life and considering I've been playing video games since the 80s that is saying something.

For all their faults I will take my Xbox One and PS4 as gaming and multi-media hubs over my PC.

Somehow this went completely went over my head. I checked the current list of bc games http://www.trueachie.../games.aspx andthe only ones EA published are Dead Space, Left for Dead 2, Mirrors Edge and NBA JAM: On Fire Edition. There is also Skate 3, which is in progress. So there is some hope that ME2 and ME3 could be bc.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ EA purchased Bioware after ME1...so.... there is no hope for ME2 or ME3 to be backwards compatible.

There's no money in it for the company..... there will be remastered versions of ME 2 & 3 before they will ever be made available for backwards compatibility.
