.... or everything.

I belong to last category and I love HM and I use the Geth Scanner quite often.   It is so good that I almost consider it cheating and try to manage without it - everytime I want a real challenge.

Yet I noticed that it does not seem to be very popular amongst the players.

Since the reason cannot be that people want that pitiful additive bonuses - and since most characters don't need grenades -

I assume that the Geth Vision makes their eyes bleed.  And indeed - many friends keep telling me that their eyes cannot stand it.

Is it really true - does the Geth Vision really bug you so much?

If it does and so many people have problems with it, they really should change it for Andromeda -

in case it plays a role in it, or comes with a DLC.

Also, I think its a little too powerful, to be honest - but that probably was discussed in older threads

I can't see enemies that aren't outlined in red. I also believe the blue-white lines are burnt into my retinas since I can't really tell they are there anymore.

Well, I um... I use my Geth Infiltrator so much, with Hunter Mode practically permanently on, that the whole Triforce Hunter Vision thing is invisible to me. I mean, I can still see it obviously, but it's like the human nose - My brain chooses to ignore it. You know? Yeah, you totally know.

The real question should be whether you are so addicted (like me) that you can't even use Grenade CapV anymore on your grenadier kits.

I use the scanner on every character. My reason is because before we had it, my style of game-play was so aggressive, couple that with my not trusting pugs or other teammates to revive me, led to my dying so much, so often, that I would use almost all my gels, ops packs by wave 7-8. Having it and knowing exactly what is around the corner / coming my way, I was able to survive much more and decide how to attack everything more strategically....nowadays it is really rare for me not to have at least 4-5 gels / ops packs by wave 9.   also, my using it so much..... I don't even notice the graphic outline of it any more.............me and sinful did notice that there are more horizontal  lines coming down the screen for hunter mode than there are with the geth scanner.

:-)    yes - I have noticed that when I switch to a grenade class with Grenades V,

I suck big time.    Feeling like a noob.

The Geth Scanner is dangerous ;)

It really takes some time for me to get used to playing without it again.

On the other hand:   playing without it is how this game is supposed to be -

getting caught by surprise now and then.  So I am planning to go on a rehab and don't use it anymore.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ actually, yes, me too. I do use it on grenade characters....cuz there are options in the evolutions for extra grenades.

Being Asian makes geth scanner render useless.
Because I can't see sh*t to begin with.

The visual effects don't bother me, but I never use the geth scanner in team games. I don't feel the need for it and I like to adapt my gear to the character's specificities anyway.

I think it's very popular here, but I rarely see it in PUG games.

Both hunter mode and the gear should have worked Only when you were motionless. Maybe when walking too.

And the gear itself should have had some static our other feature that made it phase in and out of full function. Vorcha and batarian scum do not deserve geth vision.

Heh. I told myself that but honestly putting an AMIII on and humping ammo boxes generates better results than rehabilitation.(For myself at least.) >.<

I've learned to play with my 2 grenade max disability. (Drelldept w/Harrier don't care. He loves all the ammo boxes equally.)

Yeah. I guesstimate that something like 1/4 of all my games (that's like, thousands) were with geth or geth scanner on other, plebeian kits - and sometimes I still can't see the navpoint(s) on objective waves. Used to be a serious issue when I was starting out.

The way I see it, geth scanner/hunter mode is pretty fair. You trade digital enchanced performance for actual physical damage to your eyes! :)

I use Servant Scanner on setups with lots of piercing distance (drill or innate weapons like Widow) because then I can tell myself it's for increasing deeps. Using it on anything else feels like a crutch, so I don't.

I don't really notice the visuals because they blend in with the red mist I always get from playing this cheating shitpile of a game.

Don't use the get scanner much, hate the visual diarrhea on screen!  I never really felt the need for a wall hack either except for solos where it's pretty helpful. That being said, I take pity on the dude who does a 45 minute or greater solo with the geth scanner on!

I only use Hunter Mode/Geth Scanner sparingly because it makes me dizzy after awhile

My Geth Trooper goes no flamer though and rips through s**t with the Spitfire

If you're using IncIV it's basically the same thing.

I have no problem with Geth Scanner except finding the objectives on objective waves.  I agree - it is addictive.  If I play a game or two with it, I need to go through withdrawal to get used to playing without it again.

I can't remember the last time I've used it. Probably a solo. It's only useful there and when I do a dedicated wall sniper character, which is practically never.

My visibility dramatically decreases with the geth vision but I can usually manage.  The one thing that makes it so hard for me with the geth vision is finding out where the objective markers are.  They get lost with the geth HUD.

My eyes hurt from Annihilation Field. Hunter mode and GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH, on the other hand, don't bother me much.

I have trouble spotting objectives so I generally stand there like an idiot for several secs, trying to pinpoint it. Can feel really stupid when it's around my vicinity and a team mate runs up to operate it. I'm not surprise if they think I'm one of those buggers who can't be bothered with objectives. :D
