I often found it useful to you use left (movement) and right (looking) sticks together for aiming. So for small corrections on a target to the left or right, you can just strafe in the direction you need to move your crosshair, and - provided that the elevation of the reticule is right - you can intercept a moving enemy much more easily.
Also, do not let your aiming stick fully stop, as I find my aim is much more easier to control, when I constantly apply just a little tiny bit of force to the stick, so the crosshair is constantly in motion, albeit at a very slow speed, and combining this with the mentioned strafing, it is not too hard to aim. I guess this comes from the fact, that you need more force to move the stick from a stationary position than you need to keep it moving, so you can control your stick less easily. (I'm not a native english speaker, I don't know how clear this whole paragraph was, but currently I don't know how else could I explain this)
Also, using taller sticks (with Kontrol Freeks or Xbox One Elite controllers) gives your sticks a larger range of motion, thus more precision.

Turn aim assist to high so enemies take damage even when you don't properly hit them.

The big worm is a thresher maw. Stay in the mako and ride around in circles shooting at it with the canon. Don't stop, it'll get ya.
Also I stay back with sniper rifles and pistols, letting Kaidan run in with Biotics and do the hard work.

See something that looks like an enemy? If so aim and shoot! Shoot till it's dead!
Are they all dead yet? No? Then keep shooting maggot!
All dead now? Okay, well done.
Reapeat until you have beaten the game.

When the worm dives underground change direction, and keep moving. Not sure if im imagining but if I keep going the same direction it quite often manages to surface close to the mako which breaks the mako and its game over. Also dont drive towards or away from the worm, it spits some poison or something which breaks the mako etc. Keep driving around the worm and far enough.

Because now i am standing in some sort of desert on a planet and i have to kill a worm ( a really big Worm ) and that beast always kills me first.
The big worm is a thresher maw. Stay in the mako and ride around in circles shooting at it with the canon. Don't stop, it'll get ya.
Specifically for dealing with Thresher Maws: you can also keep the Mako still (once you find a safe spot where the Maw won't come up under you), and if you time it right the Mako can jump over the venom spit while you shoot the Maw.
Once you're high enough level with good weapons, it's actually faster to get out of the Mako and shoot the Maw on foot while strafing in circles around it. The Maw always aims at Shepard, but you can sidestep quickly enough that the spit will instead hit one of the squadmates following you.
Enemies killed by the Mako only give you half as much XP, so fighting on foot is better if you can survive.

If you spot small platforms sticking out of the ground in an otherwise flat area it is most likely a Thresher Maw's nest.
These platforms are also the safest spots from the Thresher since it never resurfaces on them.
You can also drive a little bit forward or reverse to avoid its acid projectiles while shooting at it if you don't feel like jumping. Just don't go too far or it will go below ground again.

Tap the trigger rather than holding it down, makes guns less likely to overheat.
Always use cover.
Get in the habit of using tech abilities like Overload to get rid of shields, Damping to stop enemies using biotics and tech powers.
Take it slow, don't fall into the trap of thinking ME1 is like a modern shooter, yes it's a shooter, but it requires you take things slow, pick your shots.
As for the Threshaw Maw, the game wasn't designed for you to take it out on foot, you should use the mako. A good trick is to use the mako to bring it's health down as low as possible without killing it, and then leave the mako and finish it off on foot for a big XP boost.

If you do not like shooting try playing an Adept as it should be easier.

Well what you explain here is crystal clear to me and i try to do what you explain here but that's just it i get a little nervous when they shoot at me ( because obviously i don't want to die ) so to move that irritating controller slowly is then not that easy sometimes i'm all over the place with that crosshair thingy and you have to think about taking cover as well so all those things together makes it at least for me hard to kill my enemies.

Put all your points in pistols and spam master marksman.
Turn aim assist to high so enemies take damage even when you don't properly hit them.
Okay i will put all my points in pistols and spam thank you
.
My aim assist is already as high as possible.

That's another thing those mako's are irritating things as well to control them they dance all over the place and i know when i stop the Tresher Maw gets me that already happened to me.

I do that change direction when he dives and that to happened to me as well i keep moving but still that Tresher Maw always finds a way to get underneath me and shows his ugly face and then yes it's game over.
Yes i know about the poison that to got me a few times as well.

I tried that to but that was even harder then when i was controlling the mako so not an option for me.

Okay i will try that as well maybe it will work for me to tap the trigger instead of holding it down. And that's another thing that annoys me quite much when my enemy is finally in my crosshair spot my weapons are overheating.
Get in the habit of using tech abilities like Overload to get rid of shields, Damping to stop enemies using biotics and tech powers.

Maybe that's easy for you die hard gamers but i am not going to risk that ( i am already glad that i would get his health so low ) to get out of my mako and finish the Tresher Maw on foot if i almost killed it no this gamer will stay in her mako

Most of the time he will resurface far away enough to not be able to melee attack you if you stand on one of those small platforms. Which is good, since a melee attack means instant game over.
He will still spit acid at you however, but there is no avoiding that if you want to fight him. If you stand outside of his shooting distance he will just go down and show up somewhere else.
It is also quite helpful to open the tactical HUD (pause the game) whenever you are in any tight spots to determine who is the best target. It also removes the risk of missing your target with your special abilities when using them from there.

Okay the only thing i have to do now is to find those "save spots" and let's see if i can kill that Thresher Maw and yes you are right he will fire that poison acid no matter where i stand at me there is no avoiding that anyway.
I will try that as well to open the tactical HUD to pause the game when i am in a tight spot.

I think they mean that you said you didn't like shooters on a console in your original post. I'm playing as an adept right now and there's much more emphasis on powers, I'm shooting less, so it's a good class if you're having trouble with the guns on the console.
