If you have enough money, you can often buy 2 or three sets of these before finishing the game - to give to squaddies (a good idea if you're wanting to do a second playthrough to get that Shepard to Level 60 at a higher level of difficulty (i.e. a lot of people do an insanity playthrough as their second playthrough using a Level 50 Shepard and then import that Level 60 Shepard into ME2 (well, at least, I did it that way).

Specifically, a level 1-49 imported Shepard starts ME2 at level 2, a level 50-59 Shepard starts al level 3, and a level 60 Shepard starts at level 5. While starting ME2 at level 5 is a good thing, I wouldn't put up with an ME1 NG+ game to do it. ME1 combat starts to fall apart after level 45 or so, and loot will become worthless after about level 55.

Note that the ME1 "Rich" achievement gives a cash boost in ME2, so managing your item buying in order to pass a million credits is useful.

I just don't like starting an ME1 insanity run with the crap weapons you have at the start of the game and a Level 1 Shepard who can't hold a sniper rifle still enough to hit the broad side of a barn door... and I wanted the insanity achievement.  So, since I was doing the ME1 insanity run anyways, it made more sense to me to just complete it and make it enough of a complete game that I could import it into ME2 (as opposed to just doing a bare minimum insanity run and ending up with a saving I wouldn't want to import).  I did my first ME1 game romancing Ashely, renegade and the second Level 60 game romancing Liara, paragon.  That way I had two different fairly complete games I could import into ME2 and then into ME3... and get a pretty full experience from both (i.e. all the emails, all the old characters that come back, etc.).  Now, I tend to do more minimal playthroughs in all games, just focusing on those characters I really want and not concerning myself with, for example, saving everyone in ME2.  I also do a lot more blending of specific paragon and renegade sections (so my character overall doesn't lean heavily either way) and I get to hear some different lines each time.

To ensure I get the Rich achievement - Near the end of the game, I usually end up just completing Dr. Michel's assignment (so she pays me more for selling her guns) and then I do some "gun running" (buying my own guns back from another merchant for less than Dr. Michel paid me for them).

I agree that the game's a bit rough on Insanity until level 15 or so, especially if you're doing sidequests, which aren't balanced the same as the main quest line missions. I had to give up on doing Lost Module until after doing my first main mission, for instance -- just didn't have enough powers unlocked to keep the two geth Destroyers locked down. Good thing it autosaves when you land. Still, I'd rather have that than half a game of high-level play.

If you start a new character on Insanity, you should make sure you pick up the Stinger from the farmers on Eden Prime since it is the best early game weapon obtainable, and all classes can use it.

Dr Michel is also very "generous" if you can take care of her personal quest early game, which can allow you to buy the HMWP VII before you leave the Citadel the first time.

I wouldn't worry about getting to level 60. That's really just for hardcore completionists, which it doesn't sound like you are. Just stick to the bits you enjoy (e.g. if the Geth Incursion missions are too much of a pain you can just not do them at all).

Sounds like you need to get to know the power wheel. You haven't mentioned it once and it is pivotal to making the game easier. It's where you select powers to use for both yourself and squadmates, and allows you to pause and aim in real-time

Oh but i am i might not be a hardcore gamer but i can at least say that i am a hardcore completionist there is not a single quest and other things that i don't do in every playthrough. And i have to do them all even the painful ones with the Geth i will get there someday.

True you are correct that i do not use the power wheel very often i just am not used to using it yet but also maybe someday  ;)

I dunno where the idea that Tali is a bad squadmate comes from. The worst thing you can say about her is that quarian armor drops so rarely that she might be badly geared.

In general, I've found that it's better to rely on squadmates for their powers than for their weapon skills (and pistols do plenty of DPS anyway.) Sure, Ash and Wrex can act as bullet sponges, but if you've lost control of the battlefield that badly, something's already gone wrong.

Tech in general is kind of useless, is the main problem.

Anyway I did basically the entire game with Soldier MC and then Liara/Garrus with no problems really. Whatever tech skills Garrus had were plenty.

Don't be so sure.  When I played through ME1 the 1st time, I didn't think I would ever try it.  I'm old with arthritic hands and just didn't think I would ever get interested enough in a shooter to play through at any difficulty higher than normal... but by the time I finished it and found out that there were still 10 levels I could get by playing through again and that I figured out "how" I could romance the other choice (i.e Liara instead of Ashley)... and that insanity achievo was there just taunting me, I just decided to go for it.  I died and died and died again... but I wasn't about to give up; and so I learned.  In ME1, the difference is really that all the enemies take a LOT more bullets to go down... so you  have to learn how to keep yourself and your squad "alive" longer (timely use of medi-gel and the defensive powers) while you plug away at them for longer periods of time.  After you do a higher difficulty run, casual just seems too simple to bother with.  On casual and even on normal, the enemies really don't deal that much damage to you, so you can literally just run through most battles on casual without even bothering to take them down (with the exception of a few missions where you do have to kill all the enemies in order to trigger a cutscene to advance).  On the higher difficulties, at least the enemies deal enough damage that you do have a high probability of dying if you try just running through them.

Oh i think i am if i die over and over and over again ( and i probably will ) then at a certain point i will say that's it and then the game ends up on my gameshelf. And i think you are a hardcore gamer and i am just not one of those hardcore gamers i am a hardcore completionist as i said in a previous post but that's it.

If you wanted to see, the first thing to try would be doing an NG+ run through Insanity.  A Level 50 or so character with late game gear isn't going to have as tedious a time through the early game as you would if you started at Level 1.  Gear, weapons, and powers probably make about as big a difference as a notch in difficulty.

Have to watch out for rockets, snipers, and krogan since those things can potentially one-shot certain characters unless they have a defensive power up on top of high damage protection stat.

That should be the other way around for me that i had a one shot one kill weapon then i might consider playing on Insanity  ;)

Oh and on Insanity, always take a character that has Warp with you when fighting human enemies. On Insanity they love to spam the Immunity power but use Warp on them and it is as if it is barely there.

High Explosive Grenades. :)  (Just kidding really.)

It's solely up to you since the goal of any game is to have fun with it.

One of the most bizarre things about the game for me were the people who complained that you could create a weapon that could fire non-stop if you picked the right weapon mods., they said that it spoilt the game for them.

Never could get a good reason as to why they used that combination of weapon mods if they didn't find it any fun to do so.

Kaidan's neural shock works pretty well also.  Lift is also great to stop groups from firing at you and I don't think they can activate Immunity while they are up in the air.

Sometimes the right sniper rifle can do this, but by and large the player doesn't get to one-shot enemies.

Garrus has all the tech skills except hacking, so that's not very significant.

I don't know where you got the idea that tech is useless. Sabotage makes enemies unable to fire at you, and Overload wrecks their shields. Damping's more situational since it only shines against engineers and biotics.

RP? I have trouble not using an overpowering weapon if my PC has it or knows where to get it.

Yes i know that but if i have to do that every time that they do not take cover then for me it would take the fun of playing the game away. I just hate being the babysitter and that i have to take care of my squadmates every time they do not take care of themselves and take cover.

But if you don't tell them where to take cover, they just decide to use the cover that you want to get into! Their AI is literally awful.

I had that a couple of times to even both of them or they just stand in front of me also irritating or they shoot at crates or rocks yes the AI is really bad.

Okay if there will be a time ( probably not ) that i am playing on Insanity i should not play as an Adept then.

But am i right to assume that sniper rifles do quite a lot off damage ?

But when it is actively spoiling the game for you? Why ruin the game for yourself.

That's the advantage of Mass Effect (for the most part). Just because something is there doesn't mean you have to do it.

One of the biggest tips I can give for ME games is to have a mouse with several buttons. I have a Logitech G500 with 8 (not including L and R) buttons, so I can assign all 8 power slots to those. It makes assigning powers MUCH easier and IMO is crucial for MP play especially.
