I've never understood why the cloak turns off if you use your gun or a power. Sure the enemy would know what direction the fire they were taking was coming from but still wouldn't be able to see who was doing it. Does everything of Shepard's run off the same battery or something, just why has Shep connected the gun to the cloak's battery supply in the first place?

Then you can buy a better battery that lets you do one thing before it is drained.

I hate it just like the shared cooldown in ME2 and 3. Why on Earth should using a tech power stop me from using biotics? Did the same moron who wired up the cloak accidentally link the tech stuff to my biotics amp or something. I mean fair enough a shared cooldown for biotics or a shared cooldown for tech but not both. I can just imagine a Sentinel after a mission "that is the last time I let the office temp help me get suited up."

Did the Alliance fire every competent engineer and mechanic after ME1 or something, instead hiring people who had interned at Cerberus to save a few bucks.

Easy there... it's probably just so that the infiltrator doesn't OP every other class in the game.  Cloak would equal god mode otherwise.

But you already have god mode in 2 and 3, it's called the Soldier class. Best health, strongest shields. highest weight capacity. Best range of powers (ammo became a power). There is no situation that the Soldier is not suited for.

Why should other classes not enjoy the benefits of a god mode. In ME1 every class could become godly, that was changed with the shift to the awesome pew-pew action of the sequels.

Right, but ME1 combat turned bad when you became godly. Adding more godliness is not the answer; if soldiers are godly they should be nerfed, not everything brought up to that level.

"If" because I'm not sure that soldiers are all that impressive relative to other classes, particularly in ME3.

In the future you will have an Omni-tool.  I was making a call me for pizza running joke.  Speaking of, how is your ME1 going?  Where are you at, and what upgrades have you made?

Okay we are using an Omni - tool to make our pizza's ( are they any good using an Omni tool ? ) and i thought so that you were making a joke. I'm not playing ME 1 at the moment i play a lot of games ( not at the same time though tried that once and hopelessly failed ) i'm kinda weird that way one day i play ME 1 another day i play TW3 or Skyrim or i watch movies. And you ask me where i'm at to be honest i have no idea i did a quest and that's it. I will inform you as soon as i play the game again ;).

I agree with Alan's response.  I'd rather they keep "god mode-like" play out of the main game.  The player should always be a bit vulnerable... it's what makes combat variable and fun.  It just becomes a grind otherwise - like ME1 became once the player had leveled up and the enemies becomes bullet sponges in response.

That said, I know some players who really don't like combat and, I think, they should be able to avoid it in order to enjoy the rest of the game.  One way to accommodate them is to have a "story mode" where all the combat is skipped... but the player would likely miss out on some of the story (i.e. the in combat conversations that do add to the personality of each squad mate).

For those players who are OK with playing through a combat level once, they could add in a replay feature for each level that allows the player to introduce "cheats" like god mode.  This was done in Assassin's Creed Black Flag.  While in replay, any game progress was simply not saved but you could replay individual missions that you had played through previously at any time throughout game or after you've finished the game and tack on an assortment of cheats that you unlocked as you progressed through the first play.

At any rate, the last thing I would do is give the infiltrator the ability to stay cloaked 100% of the time.

I got in a good bit of ME3 MP this weekend, Diablo 3 (season 6) and Skyrim.  I'll probably get another playthrough of Fallout 4 underway as well.

So you play a lot of games to ( and i thought i was the only one out there ) i play Fallout 4 to but not at the moment. Did you also try to play two games at the same time ? Because then you would be as weird as i am   B).

Btw. the MP stands for Multi Player right ?

Two games at the exact same time would probably not be my thing.  Time on each game the same day, sure.  ;)  Or even better, making pizza whislt playing - now there is a plan!

You are 100% correct.  To me, MP is the only saving grace of ME3.

I would not recommend it though playing two games at the same time it's not a lot of fun to do :D. Making a pizza while playing a game i have never done that but i will give it a try that's a good plan Tony  ;). I'l get back at you with the results of making a pizza while playing a game  :D.

So you are saying that ME 3 is not such a good game ? if i remember correctly from other posts i red here is that the ending really sucks right ?

All I can say is that you should form your own opinion.  Don't let my hate for ME3 spoil what fun you may (or may not) have.

The trick to cooking pizza and playing games is all in the timer, once you have it prepped.  The hard part is getting it prepped - stay away from that pre-made crap.

Woow what happened to the Andromeda discussion when i woke up this morning and checked it out there were like 20 maybe even more new topics. All the "old" topics are gone to page 2 or page 3.

Okay  ;).

Yeah there will be a time that i have to do two things at the same time ( i think i'l try making a pizza while playing a game on one of my consoles because making pizza and playing a game will be a lot easier with a controller in my hand ) and that's the hard part of making pizza while playing a game

EA Play happened with a new ME:A trailer released... and the piranha have been waiting to pounce on new info or some time now.

As for ME3, I'm with Tony... best to form your own opinion.  For what's it's worth - Your posts seem to suggest that you're not really enjoying ME1 and started this thread with a statement that basically said you regretted buying it, so I'd assess carefully for yourself whether or not you want to continue on.  The combat does change significantly in ME2 and again a bit less significantly in ME3... but it is still very much a combat-based RPG throughout.  ME3 does introduce a story mode, but I've personally never played it so I don't know exactly how it was implemented.  Personally, I like all three games equally (endings included).  None of them are perfect... but nothing is in this life anyways.  All of them are, IMO, fun for me to play.

There is god mode in ME1.  It's called master immunity with Colossus X Medium or Heavy armor.  Throw on a couple of medical exoskeleton X, and about the only way you'll die is to get stun locked.

Then use the Spectre pistol X and spam master marksman.
