   I feel your pain, I was once pretty good with the Xbox hand held controller, but It seems like now when I grab the thing, in a first person shooter, and try to aim, next thing you know, I am staring at the sky, trying to bring my pointer back down, and then I am dead.

 

   I am sure if I take a little time I could get back to some reasonable ability, but I just don't feel like it when I have such smooth, mouse ability on my Computer, and multiple keys to assign most anyway I want.

 

  Consoles are just trash for me, I only use them for those games I like that are exclusive to one console or the other, and I like them. Otherwise if I can get it on PC, there is no way I will play it on a console, this is something that I learned after I graduated away from console's, and got my first Good PC.

 

  A couple of games I do play with a controller, on PC because the Mouse in the game is screwed  "Dark Souls 1 & 2"

 

Thank you i myself am and never was any good with the controller when it is a shooter that i am playing i never can get the hang of it my pointer is like you said pointing at the sky or something else and then i am dead i wish all the shooters were with auto aim on consoles.

 

The thing that bothers me the most when i play the game on my PC is that when your PC is getting older you cannot ( or it will get harder ) play new games on it anymore that for me is the downside of the PC at least when you buy a game for your console it will always work.

 

Well they are not trash to me because there are as you also said games that are much easier with a controller for instance a race game and there are more games that are better and easier playable with a controller then with a mouse and keyboard.

I find it much easier to kill thresher maws on foot than in mako.  I never use the mako for them anymore.. even on insanity difficulty.

 

Park the mako behind knoll at the perimeter of the thresher maw's flat area and run out onto the flat on foot with either a pistol or an assault rifle ready (depending on which you are "trained" in (most points and depending on your class)..  When the maw appears (ground rumbles) quickly check your radar to see where it has come up (red blotch) then face it and keep a bit of distance away and move in a sideways circle around it in either direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise - whichever you are most comfortable) continually shooting at hit.  It's a big target, so aiming should not be a problem.  Stop shooting only to prevent overheats or if your gun does overheat, but DO NOT stop moving.  When your gun cools down, start shooting again.  You may lose your squad as they tend to fall behind and get hit, but Shepard will keep ahead of the thresher acid as long as you continue moving around the circle at full run.  The maw will eventually go down... and should actually go down quite fast on casual difficulty.  If you take squad mates who use assault rifles with you, the maw will go down even quicker as they will fire on it as well (until they get hit and go down).

 

If the maw head "lunges" towards you and kills you, it means you're too close to the maw.  Try again and make the diameter of your circle larger.

 

Also, when the maw first appears, it will 99.9% of the time be the "right distance from you to just start your circle maintaining that distance.  I have only had 1 maw in all the times I've done this that came up right close to me and killed me before I had any chance at all to start my circle.  That was in insanity difficulty where the maws do tend to appear and then go down again and come up in a different place more frequently.

 

As i said i started over with a new main Character yesterday and i was standing in the desert and i was facing my opponent ( The Thresher Maw ) i can already say that this will be an epic fight that took me more then 35 minutes to complete. So we were circling around each other and i was firing and he was spitting acid at me and that went on for about 10 minutes and then when i thought i had him he killed me so i started over and over again and then there was the fight what i was talking about that took me 35 minutes to complete. So again we were circling around each other shooting rounds from my side spitting acid from his side and then finally i killed him pfeew ( or her i don't know for sure ). 

 

No what i was writing here above is a joke oops sorry i stood on that higher ( the Thresher Maw's nest ) platform what @Nattfare was talking about and it took me 30 maybe 35 SECONDS to kill him it was a laughable fight so easy and so embarrassing.

-Upgrade armour and weapons often, it's a pain in the neck but keep going to vendors to see what they have for sale.  

-Let your team go ahead of you and stay back like a sissy, it helps, believe me.  

-Do Feros first and leave Noveria till third or fourth, it's much harder to do.

 

Maybe that'll help a little.  Luckily ME2 is so much better with combat it's like night and day.

As you leave the Citadel for the first time Anderson will give you some tasks.  Go find Matriarch Benezia's daughter, go investigate a human colony on Feros, and go to Noveria.  Feros and Noveria are 2 of the 4 major planets.

 

Go to Feros early on and help the colony, doing smaller planets inbetween the big missions.  Then go to Therum to find Benezia's daughter.  You can do it different ways but that's the best for an easier playthrough.

 

If you're an adept, put your points into pistols and then your favourite powers that you use regularly.  I also put some into armour and charm so that I can get new options in missions.  Honestly other people will know what to spend points on better than I do, I don't pay too much attention to all that stuff as I play on Normal mode.

I just did a 100% run and had to kill every damn one.  I'm very tempted to never have to do that ever again.  

 

It's when they come up right in front of ya, it's a 'oh COME ON' moment if ever there was one.

Keep in mind that you can get up to four points in either charm or intimidate for free throughout the game. You get one of each when you become a spectre and you will also get points as you fill up your Paragon or Renegade meters to certain levels. You also need to fill up a meter if you want to be able to unlock either skill branch fully.

 

I'd say that unlocking Singularity would be a good idea. 

It creates a biotic vortex that sucks enemies and explosive containers into it, making them float around helplessly for its duration and making them easy targets.

You will have to spend seven points in Warp first to unlock Singularity.

 

Getting Barrier could be a good idea also since you can take more hits before dying whenever you activate it.

 

Lift also makes enemies helpless as they just float around in the air for its duration without being able to do anything.

 

Also make sure that you take at least one squad mate with you that has both Decryption and Electronics in their skill tree. You won't be able to unlock any locked containers otherwise.

Because now i am standing in some sort of desert on a planet and i have to kill a worm ( Thresher Maw Worm ) and that beast always kills me first.

 

This is how I do the thresher maws.

 

Stay in the mako and drive so the beast comes up to fire at you then stop and turn the mako so it does not face the beast. The reason for this is so you can reverse or drive forward without getting hit by the thresher maw fire.

 

When the thresher maw fires at you just reverse back a few feet so you dont get hit and then fire with the mako. All you have to do is reverse or drive forward when the thresher maw fires at you then you have a time to fire back and watch the life of the thresher maw go down.

 

You need to make sure the distance is correct so you can see the life gauge of the thresher maw.

I do this all the time even on insanity and it is very easy,

What you must not do is drive around with mako and fire as you will get killed.

Lol, nope, I've had very derpy moments in video game too.

 

You know what the best first playthrough of ME1 is?  Your second playthrough.

It wasn't until I'd done it all once that I actually understood the game and what I should be doing.  That first run was one big old facepalm.  Same for DA:O actually.

I've done about 10 runs killing every single maw in the galaxy.  I love the loads of XP they give when you kill them on foot... makes leveling up quickly a breeze.

I am going a bit of topic here but i really like Urdnot Wrex's voice it has a very nice timbre/tone. The only thing is that he is quite grumpy btw will he stay grumpy the entire game ?

If you do his "Loyalty Mission" (Family Armor) he at least respects you.  He will always seem rough and tough - he is a badarse Krogan after all.  As you explore the game he is very fun to bring along - for his convos on the Citadel, meeting Vigil, Sovereign and many others.  He's even great in elevators.

 

Another reason why I love ME (one) so much is because of the character interaction.  Take Wrex along when you go and talk to Fist, for instance.  Ashley has some great lines.  There are squad dynamics that make several play-throughs quite a bit of fun.  To me, it makes the ME world alive and fun.  Wrex is still Wrex, for instance, but he responds to Tali differently than Ashly or Liara or any of the others.

 

All of this ME1 talk is making me want to do another run.

Another thing that wonders me while playing Science Fiction games is will we ever see an Alien in real life and how will they look like. Will they look like a Krogan or some other species in the ME Universe and will they be friendly. Because i cannot imagine that Earth is the only planet out there ( there are billions of planets out there ) who has intelligent life on it.

 

Btw that avatar you use is that the guy ( i don't remember his name ) from Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2 because he looks like him.
