I disagree, those who have high end PCs have found that the performance is far far better than a console.
Besides, with PCs you can upgrade components whenever you like, with a console it's set in aspic from the day you buy it. Then there's the fact that console games are just so damn expensive, with PC I can wait for sales.

I know some people have had issues. I do keep mine well ventilated... may be that's what makes such a difference. I have replaced the power supply a couple of times (when lightning struck near the farm and surged the power suddenly... yeah, I'm rural). We actually have 2 Xbox 360s here - one is almost an "original." My son bought one when they first came out and it succumbed to RROD. It was replaced under warranty and he still has it... it's still functional. Mine is a slim, bought when they first came out.
well my 360 stood in a very good ventilated spot to so that cannot be the issue that he broke down so many times maybe i had a Friday 360 or a Monday 360

I just cannot do that to do a speed run i am a completionist as well.
My ps3 is very well ventilated. I have about 10 000 hours or more on it. It still plays well. A lot of those hours are playing ME and DA

How to play ME1? Hmm. Push the start button. hahahahahahahaha
Do a speedrun. I finished the game in 3 hours 26 minutes. A lot of things can be avoid by running by or driving by. When in the Mako, I never used the mian gun. If something got in the way, I ran it over or in a few cases jump over it. I only did enough to keep the story moving forward. Not recruiting Wrex helped. I did the Therun mission in under 10 minutes. Outstanding.
Another thing is have Ashley kill Wrex and receive no renegade points. excellent. I did that in a paragon playthrough however long ago.
There's many ways to play the game. Just play it the way you want. If you miss doing something in a playthrough, do it in another playthrough.
As i said to the post above i just cannot do a speed run it would give me no pleasure to do a speed run.

Yeah but the PS 3 is at least for me so much better then my Xbox 360 i don't know how many hours i played on that console but it is not 10 000 hours not yet.
For me, I prefer PC. Speaking of, there are a new series of graphics cards coming out at the end of the month. My Titan Xs are not very happy now that they are no longer top of the line. GTX 1080's are faster and cheaper and use less power.

Are there decent sales for console games? Steam sales and the like have spoiled me, I'm now used to big discounts if I'm prepared to wait around for them.

Yes sometimes there are console games ( at least where i live ) for only 5 bucks so that's quite cheap if i might say.

It's the strange conundrum with consoles. They're cheaper to buy than a high end PC, but the games cost more. So if you're broke what do you do??
I bought a good gaming laptop, saved up for ages, and now I can buy games super super cheap and not have to save up for them. If I'd bought a console it would have been under half the price of the laptop, but then the cost of the new games would give me pause and I'd be hesitant to buy them.

Xbox has had a deal going for the past year or so where they'll offer a couple of games up each month to download for free (with the Gold membership... which is what allows people to play online multiplayer). Also, they regularly discount games through the membership by 50% to 70% even 80%.. Of course, they are not the new releases. Through my son's membership, I've gotten Borderlands, Dirt 3, Assassin's Creed IV... all free.

Yes true that is quite cheap i have games even double not many but some.
No they are not second hand they are brand new they are even covered in that special plastic cover from Xbox PS or PC.

I'll tell you how - they go off to the slaughter house. All I ask of my cards is that they push my ROG Swift to the max. I actually don't have any games that work them out - so I might wait it out for the next gen.
