I'm a bit late to the party, as this game was released in 2014 and I only began playing a month ago. But can I just say one thing? Cassandra is the most adorable romance companion. I'm on my second playthrough thinking I would romance Sera instead of Cass, but nope, I created another male inquisitor just to romance Cassandra again. She is such an honest person with good intentions and genuinely cares about those around her. Plus she is beautiful and her smile, oh god her smile.

Every time i see Cassandra, my heart swoons <3 ______ <3

Sorry guys, I just needed a place where I could share my admiration for Cassandra :'(

Here is her companion thread, where you will most likely find like minded people willing to join you in gushing over Cassandra. :)

http://forum.bioware...asser-spoilers/

But yes, she's quite lovely. Not my type romantically, but a good buddy to hang out with and murder demons with.

I adore Cassandra for the reasons you mentioned. I can never romance her since I don't play males, but she and my Inquisitor are always BFFs.

My guy belongs to Dorian, but I would have romanced Cassandra in a heartbeat with a fem Inquisitor if I had been able to do that. After Dorian, she is my favorite character in DAI, and I consider her to be quite close with my Inquisitor.

And that book quest is quite possibly the best quest in the entire series.

I love Cassandra so much. Since the moment the Inquisition started. She's so badass and wants to do the right thing and I could listen to her give passionate speeches about it all day. And she's adorable when caught off-guard occasionally.

As for the romance, I admit I'm not crazy about poetry and big romantic gestures so I prefer one of the other love interests overall BUT Cassandra's romance is just so cute anyway! And I can't deal with how surprised she is by the candles... and the Inquisitor accidentally reciting inappropriate poetry if I understood correctly.  :D

Cassandra was one of the main reasons why I decided to roll the male Inquisitor during my second playthrough.

In the beginning, I did think I was going to romance Cassandra as a female inquisitor. But then I found out she could only be romanced by male inquisitors so I had to restart the game after the first 5 hours of gameplay.

Haha, Guilty Pleasures was definitely what sealed the deal for me that Cassandra was the one  :D

Yes! I agree with you wholeheartedly. Her accent, I could just listen to her talk all day <3 __________ <3

And for sure, Cassandra's romance isn't for everyone, but it is definitely worth appreciating. "Inappropriate poetry" and that's why she was surprised cause she though it was banned.  ;)

Same! Except she was also the reason as to why I decided to play the game a second time

I was exceptionally bummed when I couldn't romance her with a fem Inquisitor (I fear I will never get my OTP Lady Warriors in a DA game), so I made a dreamboat Lavellan for her instead and it was wonderful. She's an amazing character- tough and thoughtful and unexpected. She's not perfect, but she cares and I love her. My only disappointment is that I've never been able to not get her as Divine, so said Lavellan has pretty much been Pope-zoned. Oh, well. It was worth it.

I was as well, but now I appreciate the diversity that Bioware has created with these characters. Plus, it isn't too much of a hassle to just create a male inquisitor  ;)

"Pope-zoned," that made me laugh   My first playthrough, I got Vivienne as my Divine. It turns out that you could endorse her to be Divine. But I'm not sure what conditions have to be met in order for that to happen :(

I was so sure I wasn't going to like Cassandra when I first began the Prologue of DA:I because I was certain she was going to be prickly and inflexible.  I was so wrong, and she turned out to be my favorite companion.  I didn't romance her, though, 'cuz my Quizzy was into dudes.

Alas...

But yeah, she's a pretty awesome, well-written character and always ends up great friends with my Inquisitors. Although now that I think about it, that friendship might be healthier with my Cullenmancer than the one who has unrequited love for her  :pinched:   I'm not sure what that would be like in real life, to love your best friend knowing they can't return the feeling. I hope I don't find out!

Yeah, the Inquisitor reciting a poem about an "aching branch"...  At first I didn't realise it, then I wasn't sure that wasn't just my dirty mind, but I saw her reaction and rolled it around in my head and... damnit, we screwed up, Trevelyan. Well, kind of. It worked out, I guess.

And, I mean, I might not be into what Cassandra is into exactly and thus the romance might not be my very first choice, but I still find it a lot of fun and sweet and enjoyable, and it allows me see one of my favourite DA characters from another perspective. She never tells the Inquisitor about losing her former lover if they're "just" friends, for example. Yet it made me like her even more because she went through it all alone and never once complained, but it also makes me sad for her. I don't know what to do with that knowledge when I play my fem Lavellan.

Haha, I understand. I'm just lucky playing a male character locks me out of Cullen's romance, otherwise I might be tempted. (I tend to roleplay different characters, but you never know.) Cullen's romance is like crack, too. (WHAT HAVE YOU WROUGHT, BIOWARE?) Cullen and Cassandra are my guys.  <3

She is so awkwardly cute when she gets excited reading Varric's shitty romance novels LOL XDDD Loved that scene.
