I like Cassandra as well, but she never brings up, or atleast I don't remember the conversation, her old boyfriend who was a mage. In her movie, she had a developing relationship with a circle mage, and she never talks about it.

This thread makes me so happy. Nice to see some squeeing about Cassandra's general... Cassandra-ness. She's pretty great.

Also, she could definitely punch a bear.

Cass is a great character.  Her romance grew on my after a while so much so I haven't ever gone back to it.  She's with my canon IQ and that's that.

She brings him up. Literally right after having sex with you, when you and her are cuddling naked.

I'm still upset that they made her and Regaylen be a thing.

Her bringing up Galyan didn't bother me at all. It was literally like, "I loved a mage, he died at the Conclave, I'm determined to not let that happen to you." She wasn't talking about how great he was in bed or anything. It was a sweet moment.

By far my fav. romance scenes in any BioW. game.  Cass is a character you have to let grow on you.

Yeah, I feel like Cassandra is one of those people who are afraid of opening up or doesn't sees a reason to because she wants to be strong.

Hello fellow Cassandra fan  Cassandra is still by far my favorite character in the Dragon Age franchise. If Bioware manages to create a character that makes my swoon as much as Cassandra, then I would be speechless!!

She would for the Inquisitor ;)

I didn't find that to be disturbing because like vertigomez said, I feel like it was more of moment where Cassandra shows a side of vulnerability to her. She is determined to not let what happened to Regalyan happen to you as quoted by vertigomez :)

She does talk about it if you romance her. She mentions that he died at the Conclave during the sex scene.

Thanks for the nice words... he's my canon... couldn't ever go back and romance her after him... just didn't feel right.

I think my favorite part of her character... at least during the romance is that you're able to tease her a little even though she's super serious about being courted old school.

for all the lack of romantic options in this game.

Really?

I wouldn't have said that. I reckon they have it about right, I mean let;'s face it you can spread a pretty wide net, but even if it's not EVERYONE for Everyone, what you do have are much intensive scenarios with much more feeling and intensity.

I'd go for that any day.

But yeah, Cassandra is lovely - it's just a shame she's not... That way inclined... #ifyouknowwhatimean... ;) :P

But even the resolution to that is just brilliantly done, so...

Well, I have finished the game with Cassandra as my love interest and she didn't disappoint. I liked nearly all her scenes and the love scene is the most satisfying in the series. Though there is one scene that confused me. She tells me to let Morrigan drink from the Well and assume the risk so I wouldn't get hurt. But when I let her, she disapproved. Um what? Also, I am also rather glad she isn't Divine because I didn't want to lose Cassandra. On a side note, I know what you mean about Morrigan now. I really like her growth and her new perspective on family, the Warden and her son. In the quest in the Fade with Morrigan, I was quite impressed with the amount of emotion Morrigan shows. I never hated her in DAO, but many of the things she said were annoying. I think she had good development in that game, and after seeing DAI, it has come full circle. So Morrigan is on my good side.

Though I am tempted to do a run in DAO as a human noble archer and romance Morrigan, but marry Anora. Or just marry Anora. It would be interesting.

And finally for Cassandra, I have yet to finish the Tresspasser DLC. I hear there are quite a few scenes with your love interest in that DLC. Looking forward to it.

That's just part of her personality at times... she tends to be rash and then ends up coming to a different conclusion after your IQ has made a decision.  She does that on several occasions.

As for TP it's not so much a bunch of new scenes (there is one at the WP) as it's mostly party dialogue (good stuff there tho) aka banter.

Yeah, omg, I loved choosing the tease options whenever I could, or the humorous ones because Cassandra's reactions are always priceless. Or maybe I'm just in love with her

Yeah, at the beginning, I was confused about that particular scene too, with the well and everything. But then again, I think it is because Cassandra doesnt want someone who you do not know much about, such as Morrigan gain so much power. So maybe that's why it shows that Cassandra disapproves of your choice to let Morrigan drink from the well?

But ahhhh! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed Cassandra's romance!! I'm also happy to hear that Morrigan has grown on you :) The fact that Morrigan truly cares about her son and vows not to become the same mother Flemeth was to her was so heartwarming. I do think you should give Morrigan's romance a try. That's what I'm doing right now actually, while playing Mass Effect 2 and Inquisition again  Hint: she cares about your Warden ;)

Let me just tell you that the Trespasser DLC scenes with your love interest, especially with Cassandra, are adorable.   I hope you enjoy it!!

Yes, I love Cassandra.  She is a great companion and lover.;)  Love her romance arc, love how tough she is on the outside, but soft and caring in the inside.

Well, I know how Cassandra feels about mages in general. I sided with the mages, but I made them prisoners and Cassandra approved of that. I think it has more or less to do with that. But I think it should have been a slight disapproval if anything. I had Vivienne in the party as well and she wasn't happy I let her drink. But it seemed like Morrigan's intentions were good for a change.

I didn't enjoy Isabella's romance very much in DA2 and the Merrill romance completely glitched for me so she never became a romance choice for me. I was a bit disappointed that female Hawke gets a good romance in Fenris (I will not do gay romances). I'd rather play as a male in Bioware games. So yes, I am happy Cassandra's romance turned out to be good. I do like a few of her scenes in Trespasser as well.

And ha! You are like me, I have been in the mood to play ME again myself along with DA as well. Oddly enough, I find Miranda has become my favorite love interest in ME series. Oddly enough, she is also dark haired and hard on the outside and soft on the inside. I was totally a Tali fan until I gave Miranda a chance. I might prefer her now

And not that anyone gives a crap, but here is a video of my Inquisitor and Cassandra.

At this stage of the game, I can barely stand Cassandra.  She's yet another Chantry zealot as far as I'm concerned.  I'm a Dalish Elf and a Mage at that.  I'm uncomfortable enough with all the templars around.

Cullen gets on my nerves.  Don't think that just because I'm Dalish that I haven't heard tales of Cullen's part in the happenings at the Circle in Fereldon during the fifth blight.  I would much rather Cullen not be part of the Inquisition at all.  He has the tendency to be unstable in the presence of a powerful mage.

However, this is about Cassandra....  I absolutely cannot stand this title that they've given me and I renounce it with every opportunity.  I want nothing at all to do with do with this title or the god that is perpetrated by the chantry. Cassandra does nothing at all to qwell the idea of what this title is supposed be.  I'm merely a Dalish Elf Mage that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Not to mention that she disapproves of me putting people before the chantry's teachings.  Well honey, I'm Dalish and we do not worship your god.

She also obviously favors the templars over mages which makes her a poor choice for any mage, much less a Dalish mage.

That's the reason why I romance her with a mage.  :D

Wait! Are we talking about that tall grumpy seeker  that likes stabbing things?

Cass doesn't swoon you have to win her heart with lots of flirting, flowers, candy and poetry.

In my games I rotate love interest since I love Josie's voice and the way Leliana plays the "big sister" role. In my current human game Cass is the LI. Tidus didn't look right as a Shem so,my hume name's is Wes-after John Wesley Hardin a notorious old West gunfighter..
