Okay, so I just recently started the game and have been romancing Solas from the beginning. I chose the kiss option in the Fade. All was going well until I accidentally left the conversation when I was given the option to initiate the romance ("I'll risk it."). I thought it wasn't a big deal and I would come back to it later.

I can't find ANYTHING about this specifically. I don't know if I've somehow I've screwed it up completely or I'm just being impatient and another chance will come about. (I'm at Skyhold now.)

I've read things about Blackwall causing you to be locked from a romance with Solas. I ended it with Blackwall instead of choosing the relationship. I also was suspect of Sera being a problem, so I told her to leave the Inquisition, just to see. Still, no romance dialog options come up with Solas now.

So, since I ended the relationship, and don't have a save from before then--stupid on my part--will another chance arise?

So you did the kiss in the fade and then didn't finish the convo after having him end it by saying he'll think about it? You might have screwed yourself on it ><

You can find out for sure pretty easily though. Have you done his personal quest yet? It's the one where in the beginning he's drinking tea and he asks you to help his friend who is a spirit. If you haven't gotten that cutscene yet you probably need to raise his approval a bit (likely if you did anything except allying with the mages). If you have done the quest to help his friend afterwards you should get a cutscene with him on the balcony in Skyhold. If you didn't mess-up the romance he'll say he hasn't forgotten the kiss and you must tell him neither have you to initiate and lock into his romance. If that doesn't happen or you tell him to forget it, you'll be barred from doing the full romance.

If you kissed Solas in the Fade then you should be fine. I don't think just flirting with Blackwall would end it at that point, especially if you shut him down. A quick way to check is to go try to flirt with Cullen. If, when you ask to spend time alone, he says he thinks you're interested in someone else (I think he may even specify Solas, but I can't remember) then you are currently on another romance path. In this case, Solas' most likely b/c of the kiss.

There is no regular flirt option for Solas' conversation wheel in the rotunda like there is for the other LIs in their spots. To see more romance, you have to get his approval up.

The next actual romance dialogue is a flirt option with him after he returns to Skyhold after his personal quest "All New, Faded for Her". Have you gotten that quest yet? If so, did you have that flirt option with him in that final conversation back at Skyhold?

If you are past that quest and you don't remember if the flirt was there, you will *definitely* be able to tell when he talks to you on the balcony. If he doesn't bring up "Not having forgotten the kiss" then you're locked out.

Course all this agita can be avoided by just loading an earlier save and redoing the Fade kiss scene. As many times as you need to. ^_^

Are you sure? I would be wary of this... Solas' romance is the only one that doesn't lock in until...

As others have said, Solas sadly has the least amount of romantic scenes throughout the game.

If you flirted with him at Skyhold, turned down Blackwall, kissed him in the Fade, and then approached him later and told him you're willing to risk it, you're on the right track. If you haven't gotten another romantic opportunity yet but ALSO haven't gotten Solas' personal quest "All New, Faded For Her" (where he tells you that his friend who is a spirit is in trouble and he wants you to go to the Exalted Plains to rescue it), then don't worry. You're still on the right track. You just need to build up Solas' approval and continue the game to get that quest, then once you complete that quest you'll get more romance content.

Sadly, Solas was the last romance added to the game and has the biggest budget restraints, and it shows. Most of the Inquisitor's romantic encounters with Solas are tagged onto regular non-romantic encounters, like when you first arrive at Shyhold and he takes you into the Fade (all Inquisitors), the cutscene you get after you complete his personal quest (all Inquisitors), and other scenes after that.

So far, it sounds like you're not doing anything wrong, you're just exposed to that dreaded wait between Solas-loving scenes. -_-
