Meh, alright but acceptable

BUT, than again.... what brought this on.... no space for visible tats AT all >.<

I really dont see way around this one unless Shep is running around half naked. now, Male Shep... has nice possibilities.. broad muscular arms with tats in while wearing vest...

I mean, This is the only type of outfit I think would fit fem Shep for tats that would be realistically appropriate for commander who is in charge of the ship...

I thought Dragon Age Inquisition's Character Creator was the best that Bioware had done so far. There was room for improvement, of course.

Indeed. It's still rather limited compared to a lot of other character creators - the complete lack of body-type options, even pre-sets, continues to be a particularly major limitation - but you could make - or, in my case, steal off DASliders - faces, at least, that looked as good as what the NPCs had, which is much more than can be said of any BioWare character creator that's come before.

I think I'll be happy with Andromeda's CC if we just get some body-type options - nothing extreme; I know massively divergent character heights, for example, can be a real problem for cutscene framing, but a couple of variations on muscle mass and such doesn't seem like too much to ask - and, as always, better hairstyles. Maybe have some longer styles that can be worn lose when just bumming around the ship or on shore-leave, but get tied up when you're suited up for combat--like how, in Fallout, certain longer cuts automatically get tied up when you put on a hat.

If you consider the male krogan vs. male quarian models in the trilogy:

And now what we see of male krogans in ME:A:

WTH?

I think it's safe to say that whoever is to blame for EDI's ****** was still working on the team as of 2014. These creepy designers should really focus on more quality, less creep.

I would just want more different hair types (not just styles) like afro and curly hair. Also different body builds for roleplay value. What if you want your pc to be small and agile and lack in muscle mass? Or you just want to have a hulk. Maybe those will be influenced by class, but I hope they would be independent. Maybe ear shapes can also have more customisation (there is virtually none atm). Also bring scars back!

- Player ALSO should be able to just change hairstayles AFTER character creation. Since Sheppard was a military character, there was not many choices.

- Character creation should also let player to rotate, zoom the character and preview some expresions to see better.

- On MP I want to be able to create the face of any alien available.

- More clothing choices.

Creating different and diverse female characters is one thing, and shouldn't be discouraged, and I see where you are coming from in your post here and think if it were used in this way universally, then it wouldn't be immature of course.

Sadly this sort of feature would be abused, and immaturity would boundlessly happen, and the video game industry is already pretty awful in terms of representation of women, I wouldn't want this sort of feature to be abused by immature gamers as just another way of having women be objects of pleasure for gamers. Creating a character with a unique appearance to differentiate between characters is one thing, just creating a female character with huge breasts and ass is another thing and will just help pervade this seemingly endless cycle of the objectification of women in games.

Considering the variety, at least with DA's women, maybe a limit could be made within the confines of the models themselves. For the hopelessly immature, BW could include discouraging remarks for "staring" too long or poking them, or other private parts. And even include helpful remarks for touching other areas instead.

It's starting to seem too much parenting but it might provide some food for thought for those not so fortunate.

That's too far.

I think the options could be available, if restricted. I mean, there are such things as small and large framed people, which would be cool to select. The age… well, there's a finite set of years where it's possible for Ryder to do what he can do so at most, maybe, allow for extensive wrinkles around the eyes. There's already been the complexion slider, though maybe it could have a few more options to bring in veterans.

Yea! So we can have a crotch slider too, right? That wouldn't make feel anyone awkward or anything

Hahah. Why not! You can bet Captain Kirk had more than his charm. Though, maybe he was making up for something…

Curls and a dance style slider, please.

Shepard-dance option!

Just My opinion, but I would bet that if Bioware were to make 2 different type of armor and clothing,

and add and Option in setting for

1. Risque clothing

2. Prudish Clothing

I figure number 1 would be the choice pick by most players.

Yes I might be wrong, but I sort of doubt it. I look for escapism in video games [ I assume a lot of other gamer's do too ], doing things, and acting in ways, that there is no way I would in real life, is just a part of that escapism or fantasy.

So all the fantasy choice's I can have, for me make the game just that much better.

Some things I'd love to see:

1. Body tattoos and body/facial piercings. Many games have option only for facial tattoos and piercing which is boring and bit useless, facial tattoos are not as usual as body one's and they are bit hard to match with face sometimes. Also body scars, burning marks, beaty marks etc.

2. Shock colors both hair and eyes. Hair-dye and contacts are probably thing in the future too.

3. Tech-parts, maybe eyes like Illusive Man had, maybe prosthetic arm, finger or leg, maybe something else.

4. Body types, there is many ways this could be done like click and drag like Sims4, choosing from options or having triangle to chose within like Fallout 4.

I don't really expect to see any of these, but I'd love to see them happen anyways.

Even when I play WoW which lets you change the look of your armour I don't see a ton of people running around in skimpy outfits, not even on the female characters. That was one of the major concerns of the fanbase before they added that feature, but it really didn't happen as much as people thought it would.

On top of that straight guys are still a really significant portion of the playerbase, and most of them based on telemetry data from previous Mass Effect games are playing a male character(It's 82% to 18%). They're not likely to dress up the new male "Not Shep" in skimpy outfits, because they aren't interested in staring at man butt all day =P

The people who want skimpy clothing don't seem to actually outnumber anybody. They just seem to be louder than everybody else on the forums.

Aria was fine in her outfit. So would femshep if she had the option. More customization options. Tank tops for guy. Sports bras for girls.

could care less about height. Only sliders they should have is face ones, boobs, and muscle mass. And if a girl or a guy want a big butt let em have a big butt but not out of proportion like Kim kardashian.

Just let my hair look good while exploring the galaxy, okay?

While I'd like longer hair options I'd still be okay with shorter styles as long as we don't get 948755 ugly or sorta bald styles. I've had enough of having one good 'do with the rest being Friar Tuck.

Although, I'm quite partial to this;

Eh, I doubt there will be a breast slider in the game because it mostly seems like sliders in general would be, amongst other things, more difficult to animate depending on what kind of slider we are talking about; A set slider with points is one thing but a non-set slider like the one in the later Saint Row  games is another one since the latter does not have set points from what I can remember.

An example would be a close-quarter inter-character interaction. I think Saint Row and Mass Effect function rather differently since I cannot recall the former featuring a lot of close-quarter inter-character animation.

It basically seem like a lot of work for a character creator feature that I do not think they'd consider to be worth the work. I think set bodytypes are the more likely possibility since those would have set proportions.

I should note that this is all based on speculation.

Yeah, i can see a bodytype slider encompassing the variety we're looking for, though maybe not the strict number. Even if the number are restricted to previously used types seen in past games, it would be huge advancement from the plain doll bodies we've had to deal with for our characters.

Considering you are probably referring to the 82% Male Shepard vs 18% Female Shepard, they got it from Bioware themselves when they released some ME3 stats.

You and I have very different ideas of what tan looks like.

Yup.

Maybe, that doesn't change the fact Sheploo became a toasted Greek god in ME3.
