What is up with these low level pugs, setting it to gold, then, ninja switching to bronze or silver? That's the third time in last couple of weeks that garbage has happened. Thankfully, I was able to catch it this time. Bunch of asshats

I do realize they probably know I'm a scrub, but they just did with a 125k CP player with a level 20 character

Lol they always ninja it to platinum for me. Even with my N7 20, Shuriken III and no consumables. I get a laugh. If they have mics then I really don't care what difficulty, map or enemy we face. I'm just recruiting a team for my suicide mission anywho.

Bro is right, normally it's the other way round.

I do it myself sometimes, but not with bad intentions. and since I can guarantee these pugs a fast and save extraction and easy credits, they usually don't complain.

This has confounded me. What is so aggravating is that I actually landed in a lobby. 8/10 pugs are GIP and I do not like that at all. But, when searching, beggars can't be choosers.

Usually its the opposite.....newbees always up the difficulty and pray the veteran curry's them to glory.......

 

Theze damn kids are still starting gold games solo and hiding / running in circles until someone shows up to do the actual killing.

I've only played gold with people from here... although I only recognised one from the last game I played... I usually stick to bronze... I'm not stupid... I wouldn't dare do it otherwise. I know where I belong... I just want more credits.

Well I dunno why it's something to be incredulous about. There could be plenty of reasons why people could lower the difficulty, maybe they just wanted some easy credits or an easier game, maybe  they were trying out a build or something, maybe they didn't feel too comfortable with their current group, maybe they wanted to level up more before playing on higher difficulties etc.

 

Also while I'm not sure how much you play, assuming you play regularly, it's only happened three times in two weeks which isn't really a high margin of occurrence is it? Could just be a random occurrence but if you were really curious, you could've just asked them.

I'd guess there's a much more inane explanation, like that they want to play bronze/silver, but may have found that setting it to gold is the fastest way of filling the lobby.

Teabaggin, I play quite a bit. And I guess I need to do a better job of explaining. It was weird to me because in over 1100 hrs playing, I had never seen anyone bump it down until last week and it's happened 3 times. I've been in plenty of lobbies where it got bumped up. So that's why I find it strange, that's all. As stated earlier, I'm just happy to drop into a lobby, not GIP, and to have to leave is a little aggravating.
And don't throw big words at me, it makes me feel like a bigger dumba** than I already am. Ha

I've had it happen to me before occasionally although I've only played around 500 to 600 hrs in total. And while this wasn't a common incident for me, it did happen once in a while or so. You're right though, landing a good lobby can sometimes be aggravating especially with those terrible loading times. And I didn't mean to sound like I'm accusing you btw, just thought of pointing out some things although maybe it came out a bit too aggressive.

Last time I played gold I started a geth game solo with the Kroguard and was actually solo until wave 5

should have probably just played a solo for all the good the PUGs were
