Oh and there is an issue with Galactic Readiness. Well you can get your Effective Military Strength high enough to obtain the "best ending" without multi player providing you have DLC.
That said, if you engage in the multiplayer (assuming you can), you can get the Galactic Readiness to 100%. What this readiness stat means, is that your total assets are multiplied by the Galactic Readiness. So if Galactic Readiness is 50%, your assets are halved to give you Effective Military Strength.
