We create all these threads and suggest all these bad and good ideas but what if the game turns out to be average after all this time? I'm not really bothered about this game anymore.
Are the delays killing the hype for you?

I don't see the relevance between the hype that might turn out to be too much if the game is average, and the delays.
My interests and concerns of the game are the same at they year last year. When they'll show and talk more about the game they might change, but the delays don't affect my position.
edit: it should be noted I was never 'hyped' for the game. Because I don't get or really interested in a game without having far more informations then what we have currently on MEA.

The lack of any useful information is killing the hype for me. We're still a ways off, so I'll feel better once marketing starts to pick up closer to the release.

Eh, not really. The lack of information makes me less inclined to discuss the game on the forums - the thing that got me back here after years away was the gameplay leak - but I'm no less excited than I would be otherwise. If anything, the anticipation - of people reporting back from the theme park ride, of EA Play, and ultimately of the game's release - actually helps.
I still have my worries about the game, of course - mainly relating to my issues with DA: I's filler, and my hatred of Mass Effect 3's dialogue system - and I can't really maintain the same 'pure' excitement I had in the run up to Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and then Mass Effect 3, but I think that's a fairly natural consequence of getting older--well, that and having not enjoyed a lot of BioWare's more recent games quite as much as I did their past work.

I doubt many people love Mass Effect more than I do, but I can't sit around and talk it to death unendingly and without interruption. I have other things I enjoy doing. I don't even know if this current run of forum activity will last until E3. That's a long way off, still, and topics are getting pretty ridiculous, so I doubt it. I do know that I'll be back on here looking for discussion once we get something at E3. Then, I'll again drift, at some point. That's how it goes.
I think everyone's interest drifts, but not everyone knows when to call it a day and move on to other diversions, for a time. That's why we get so many stupid ass topics and discussions/arguments (not a reference to this current topic). People are bored.
Edit: typos. Damn iPad.

It's not realistic to sustain heightened expectation for anything, especially something like a video game, for years without end. I come and go from the forum. Right now, I'm here and active. I was last active around the turn of the year, I think.

It depends really. After Bioware starts releasing constant informations, videos, screenshots, interviews, etc. people generally stick around until they go off to avoid spoilers (or remain if they don't care about them).
It is true that in the stage of development where they don't release much informations, less people are around in the forums. Though MEA's case is a bit different from the later games, since we know almost nothing on the setting itself. With DAI even without knowing much in the first parts we did know more since the setting was the same of the previous games, and it was a direct continuation of the events of the previous game.

Mass Effect games are not average, hence the hype.
Uncharted 4 was delayed 6 times. After finally getting my grubby hands on it last week and beating it Friday, it's the most gorgeous, fun, challenging, and emotional game I've ever played. The hype was real. But that's because I know what Naughty Dog can do. Like I know what Bioware can do = create a great game if given enough time and creative space.
I don't expect MEA to be like the new Hitman and be abysmal. Square Enix rushed that game so hard, meanwhile Kingdom Hearts 3 has been in development for what, 7 or 8 years now?
My point is, you give enough time and creative space to a team of experienced devs who know what they're doing, and the hype will be real.

Nope. Just one delay so far, right? I'd like someone name a Bioware game that actually hit the initially announced launch date.
I prefer the no news approach, personally. It makes it easier to avoid potential spoilers, and it's fun to watch this forum eat itself.

I wasn't expecting to like that game but I loved it. I don't think I will buy it at launch though.

Yea there's no gameplay to be hyped about

Delays do not kill any hype for my.
Better a delay great game than a on time bad game: videogame hystory has proven that, many times.
Talented people(in this case Bioware guys) should never listen impatient people: a great work requires time. Only non-talented people demand great things done in impossible timeline.
Nevertheless, there will be ALWAYS people who will never be sastisfied. Like 3 types of people wanting their favorite gameplay system, but the game can only have 1 gameplay system.
You cant make everyone happy. Give a guy the best car ever, but in his least likeable color: Some guys would say the WHOLE car is ****, some would say the car is awesome BUT the color is ****. That is the right way to judge something. For example: ME3's ending. Some people say the WHOLE game sucked, some other say the game is awesome BUT its ending sucked, but overall the game is awesome.
Take your time Bioware. E3 is coming anyway. And also please release a beta so we can test it and report bugs, flaws and feedback on its gameplay so you can improve it
But take your time, great works demand it.

Also, the best way to wait: is not to wait.
If you wait you get desperate counting how much time has passed and when will it come.
Just continue your normal life, time will naturally pass and without noticing, its 2017.
Eventually you realize you became a grandpa without noticing it XD lololololol.

I'm patiently waiting for june (EA convention) and playing other games in the meantime
life goes on~
After June, we will finally have new real informations, the threads here will certainly become more interesting and not only based on speculations or dark rumors.
I'm sure the game will be great, I don't mind waiting a little more ~

Unless they just come out and say it's Inquisition 2.0. Then I won't be excited. I will be furious. I will burn something!

I am excited for ME:A and I will be regardless of what they do or do not say about it until it releases.

It'll have a strong exploration focus. We can hope they improved it in MEA.

What hype?
The hype that makes you want to freeze yourself like a caveman and have your friend wake you up when Andromeda is out

I am looking forward to this game very much, though I don't really get 'hyped'. Thats a recipe for a disappointing life in just about all areas. No, delays don't bother me one bit. It gets done when it gets done. Rushing a game just makes for a bad game. Would much rather wait for a good game then get to a play a bad game sooner.

I'm not sure what delays people keep referring to, I didn't see a Nov. 2 release date. So I don't see a delay. Going from March to May, I'd say would be a delay. BUT to the question at hand. Right now, I have nothing too gripping on Andromeda. But after E3, I'll get back to ya. I am curious if we are really named, Ryder.

This might be the first game for which I actually try to get a few spoilers. I have a few concerns over some of the content, quality issues, etc... that I never felt going into past games. I'm hoping some spoilers might at least tell which way the wind is blowing, so to speak. I'd want solid spoilers, not the results of the lengthy guessing game that plays out before every release, as screenshots and assets trickle forth for our viewing. The solid spoilers usually come a bit later. I'd expect something around N7 Day, 2016, for instance.
Oh, well. This is just a reminder that we have a long wait ahead of us, yet. The E3 reveal will be fun, as will the conversations that follow.
