I'm not sure what delays people keep referring to, I didn't see a Nov. 2 release date. So I don't see a delay. Going from March to May, I'd say would be a delay. BUT to the question at hand. Right now, I have nothing too gripping on Andromeda. But after E3, I'll get back to ya. I am curious if we are really named, Ryder.

Well, they said "Q4 2016." Although truthfully, everyone should have read that as "Q1 2017" regardless.

I'm not diverse in Bioware's Qs but you mean like "Dec 31st"? Yeah, most games that get a Dec 31st are 9-10 the next year.

It's commonly understood as the "black friday-Christmas" window. So, somewhere around October-December, but probably November.

DA:I killed any hype for future Bio games. So, I don't worry or get excited or pre-order .

ME:A will launch, I read reviews, I read the Forums and wait until it gets on sale. If the hardware requirements exceed my current setup, it will take longer, as there are plenty of other "fishes" in the sea, to keep me occupied.

Yes. Long periods between announcement & release suck. Anything more than a year sucks.

When Diablo 3 was announced in 2008 and they released that 20-minute gameplay trailer, I was more excited than I'd been in a very long time. Had to wait 4 years for it.

To say I was underwhelmed when D3 was finally released would be an understatement. As far as Andromeda goes.......I don't feel excited in the slightest right now. Gameplay trailer or demo at E3 or whatever wouldn't make a difference.

It's been too long.

The hype that makes you want to freeze yourself like a caveman and have your friend wake you up when Andromeda is out

But then I'd miss the delightful forum posters and their wonderful posts.

Seriously, I would miss them.

4 years is different then 2 years. Plenty of games get announced and then release 1.5 year-2years later.

It'll have a strong exploration focus. We can hope they improved it in MEA.

I will get the matches ready.

The neoGAF post said everything that needs to be said to convince me that MEA is what I've already been waiting-for for about ten years since ME1. I don't really feel the need to see or hear anything else at this point (multiplayer aside) and am perfectly happy to wait for as long as they need.

That said I'm somewhere between nonchalant and enthused up from mild disappointment which is a nice place to be for once. If you're experiencing marketing induced hype for something it's usually your fault that you're ultimately disappointed.

But those developers/publishers aren't as stupid as Bioware to give their loyal players the Fallout 4 treatment.

I'll play it when it comes out, although I don't much care about it otherwise at this point other than the occasional visit to this board. We know next to nothing about the game besides what people have managed to find from dissecting one trailer and a leaked survey, all subject to change and likely has.

Stellaris released about a week ago and will scratch my sci-fi itch for months to come, then there's also HoI4 soon and Overwatch.

Got plenty to play if bioware is silent about the game. :P Hype levels is pretty minimal but that may change once I find out what they want to sell me, other than the standard bioware stuff with companions/story missions.

You should've done this a lot of time ago trutfully. We knew for a long time :P.

I don't think it's a stupid approach. Bioware's marketing has an habit to fail expectations, expecially when they show things before they're finallzed.

Beside, there's almost another year before release. It's plenty of time to show the game.

And no, there are companies that announce the game, wait a long time for releasing info and even delay it a few times, and people are still waiting for it with a lot of hype. Case in point, Persona 5.

I never had hype to begin with, mild curiosity at best. Lot's of games releasing this year that I'm far more interested in anyway.

Changing the game from previews has been a common problem, looking back over the last few years with games I bought BioShock: Infinite had a lot of gameplay changes and even the Witcher 3 had a "graphical downgrade" and all that information was officially released by the developers where BioWare never officially supported that closed door footage.  I just wish people were equally unforgiving to those studios.

Lucky me I've played DA2 after ME3, otherwise I would have lost hope way before. (sarcasm)

I sort of agree (and to be fair there was criticism for both games, as far as I recall), but Bioware's changed weren't just about the graphics. A whole area was changed from scratch, as well as the Keep system practically scrapped from its original purpose.

I do agree that the videos was closed door footage, though they did shown later in another conference in Europe, though I don't really if it was closed door as well. It'd have been better if they stated after the video was 'leaked' that many things, including the Keep system, were still work in progress and not definitely sure though.

I'll get the game but I'm not hyped for it. Those days of waiting for any bit of information about a BioWare game are long over. So I  don't care how long they take with it.

To me BioShock: Infinite were gameplay changes too for I always felt the game I got played a lot differently then what they were trying to show and yes both games had people that were upset.  What I don't understand is how they were treated so differently between bloggers and press articles for all the articles I normally found about BioShock: Infinite and The Witcher 3 were trying to explain the differences, but with Dragon Age: Inquisition it was more of a "this could have been a better game because of this".

I can't speak of the European conference for I thought it was only shown at Gamescon in Germany and with having "pre-alpha" watermarked on the video it was labeled as unfinished work.

Nope, because I'm not hype. After ME3 and Inquisition, why get hyped? I'm interested to see what will happen to this franchise and how the gaming community will receive it. I'm anticipating the review score more than the actual game.

Me after EA play=

TlnPsB5.gif

Yeah same here I'll get pumped up for a game when there is a reason to do so until then I'll busy myself with other activities and games I have access to.

As Ashley herself  once said to Shepard we do things when we're ready to not before not after.

Not really, no. I want information over quicker release as I want the game to be good if not superb and the longer we wait the more time the devs have to fine tune it so the finished product will be what it can and not what it could.

More information, maybe a mp/sp beta down the road?

Kinda, I don't think too much about MEA, instead I focus in playing games I already have, one of them being TW3. Not really hyped for Andromeda, even though I will certainly end up pre-ordering it when it's available.
