No, not hyped for it to begin with. Curious yes, to see if BW will be able to claw themselves out of that pit they've dug into with ME3 and DAI.
Are the delays killing the hype for you?

No, in fact, the delays are increasing my hype, since it means the end result will be better because it'll've had more time spent on it.
That said, I would REALLY like concrete info on it at this point.

It'd have if they'd would have started their marketing already. But alas, there's currently nothing to get hyped about except a title and some leaks.

A man who has no hype is lost. But that same man can get lost in the hype.

Delays? There's been a single, short delay. Get it together.
But the last Mass Effect game came out in 2012, these forums have been up for ages and we have yet to see some decent gameplay footage. How can you stay hyped over something you don't know much about?

Meh. Regardless of the problem I might have with them Bioware isn't in any pit, expecially after DAI. It sold well enough and it received a lot of praise. I don't they're in any particular dangerous situation.

Ok, bye. I'm still excited as hell.

There is no reason to be hyped. Anticipating the game is one thing, but if something is troubling enough for you to say it's "killing your hype", it's your own fault at this point in time. Once we see the game and ads for it, that's when the hype train should start moving.

Who cares when the last game came out or when this forum was made active? There haven't been delays. There has only been one short delay. Period.

To be fair the aftermath of the announcement of the delay did overall just blur information in some panic over what was happening with ME:A following the departures of some of those who had been working on it, and I initially thought there had been other delays because of some misinformation before actually looking it up and finding that this has been the only delay to the release date thus far.
OT, I'm not hyped personally, because I know next to nothing yet. I usually get hyped for something when I have concrete information. I'm still anticipating the game. But I was hyped for Kingdom Hearts 3 when that was first announced how many years ago it was now, and that was a game whose lack of information and a release date and the growing awareness of just how much the game has to answer for storywise really killed my hype.

I think with all these delays they are probably making it into the absolute zeitgeist of the super insanely polished psychotically uber game that has become AAA gaming, to be honest. In the case of MEA, it also has an overt religious bent (Ark and all that)
It's just I don't really care about that kind of thing in general.... for me... something can be the most theoretically most polished thing possible in the universe, the most "polished" thing ever, but without any heart, I just don't really care about it.... and I don't think most people care about it either.
It will probably be celebrated by all the people and sell well for being precisely that but the world has kind of moved on from that sort of thing IMHO... so I guess the answer is yes, in a way.

Maybe not financially yet, but they still haven't regained the trust they had before the ME3 debacle and DAI is a game with A LOT of flaws. They most certainly are in a pit, it's just made of bad decisions.

Mass Effect games are not average, hence the hype.
Uncharted 4 was delayed 6 times. After finally getting my grubby hands on it last week and beating it Friday, it's the most gorgeous, fun, challenging, and emotional game I've ever played. The hype was real. But that's because I know what Naughty Dog can do. Like I know what Bioware can do = create a great game if given enough time and creative space.
I don't expect MEA to be like the new Hitman and be abysmal. Square Enix rushed that game so hard, meanwhile Kingdom Hearts 3 has been in development for what, 7 or 8 years now?
My point is, you give enough time and creative space to a team of experienced devs who know what they're doing, and the hype will be real.
Having been waiting for KH3 for near ten years now, I no longer care about gameplay or whether I even have fun playing it. I just want all the loose ends and threads and god knows how many looping storylines to be tied up neatly. I want all the important characters to get a decent resolution and a proper amount of screentime, rather than being overwhelmed with new edgy looking characters Nomura favors over actually finishing up his other dangling character arcs. I want Kairi to actually become a character, and Riku to take a backseat since he's had more than enough development. I'd really like to see Terra, Ventus and Aqua get there stories their proper due, and Roxas to have a presence. And I am looking forward to never playing a game with Xehanort in it, ever. He's just become the most convoluted mess of a villain, and has lost all menace and interest for me.
I'm also genuinely concerned about how the hell the game is going to appeal to new players. Anyone starting with KH3 will need a comprehensive guide, layout, story diagram, explanation list, and all sorts of other stuff just to understand what the hell is going on.
Off-topic a tad, but relevant to development cycles, delay(s), and hype slowly dying, which is definitely true for me in KH3's case.

From your perspective, perhaps. Many, myself included, feel that their overall products are only getting better with each release.
So for the question that is the reason for the thread, no the delays do not diminish my hype. I have a steady under-layer of hype that remains constant prior to every major BioWare release. Delays are, up to a point, just a sign of quality assurance doing its job.

Not really. Sure, I am not as excited about ME as I was when still playing MPer but that excitement can come back really fast if I like the new game. And having a long development cycle means that it will be fresher and the excitement will possibly last longer.

Anyone who thought this game was coming out this year was delusional, most of the time Holiday 20XX is just a placeholder for the following year. Its going to come out late next year, just deal with it.

To be clear.
QA responsibilities is to test and report flaws (ie: bugs, performance issues). The decision to prioritize and fix is management's
Edit: To be fair, 10 people in QA working for 500 hours will miss bugs found by 10,000 players playing for 10 minutes after game launch.

Let´s see. Do i like the previous triology? Yes. Do i have any hype for this game? Yes, of course, what´s the point on check this forums every now and then, if i don´t have any hype for it?
Is that mean i will instabuy this game? Of course not, i will look at several reviews and opinions before i buy anything. As i always do.

Nope, the delays are not killing any of the hype for me... This forum is seriously trying to kill the hype for everyone... but it's not really succeeding as far as I'm concerned either.
