Maybe not financially yet, but they still haven't regained the trust they had before the ME3 debacle and DAI is a game with A LOT of flaws. They most certainly are in a pit, it's just made of bad decisions.

They are in a much better position than they are during DA2 and ME3 were the entire BSN is a toxic cesspool.

blah is right. Regardless of my opinion of DAI, the game didn't get as much criticism as DA2 or ME3 overall.

As for DAI having lots of flaws, I saw the same argument for ME2 and DA2 as well, not only DAI and ME3. And while I wasn't around here at the time, people did say that during DAO's development or after the release, that many people criticized Bioware for the decisions made for the game, and they were dumbing down the game, as it was later said for many Bioware games. It seems to me that Bioware games tend to get a lot of criticism.

I'm not saying their position is the same as it was when they released DAO, but it's not the same as after ME3 either.

Most games are delayed nowadays so I've come to expect it. I'm still super excited for ME:A and I'll be even more excited come next month with EA Play.

There wasn't much hype to begin with. They announced the game and then spent a year acting like they're embarrassed by it. Not exactly the best way to convince customers that you have a quality product.

Who cares when the last game came out or when this forum was made active? There haven't been delays. There has only been one short delay. Period.

Me: I can't wait for Andromeda, 2016 is going to be a good year for gaming

Bioware: A game has no release date

Uhhhh, what?

Bioware were vehemently non-committal in regards to anything that could give us a vague picture of the game and basically still are.

Maybe it's because they've learned from their mistakes with DAI and showing too much of the game ahead of time that they want to be damn sure the game will look like it will at release when they first start showing off gameplay?

No way! The more delay, the longer I get to spend time with you fellows before you retreat into your dungeons on release.

To go from "BioWare hasn't shown us much of MEA" to "BioWare is embarrassed by MEA" is just absurd.

Considering that some on these very forums accused them of false advertising over LEAKED pre-alpha gameplay from DAI, can you really blame them?

Nah, games always get delayed

Back in the 90s they actually released on time though.  And in quick succession.  Feels like an eternity now between game releases.

It's mass effect so I will always be hyped to a degree but I am annoyed at the lack of tangible updates.

Personally, I learned a lesson many year ago.

NEVER get hyped for a game Mac Walters is involved with.

Delays have killed my hype for games in the past but far as Andromeda goes the thing that killed my hype was ME3 and all the other nonsense thats occurred over the last few years.

I admit I am very interested to see the EA play reveal but I'll reserve judgement of the game until after I've played it. Are the delays killing my interest in the game? No, I prefer that they take their time, iron out all the bugs and implement the things they want properly without rushing.

Only read a couple of the witcher stories but your signature makes me realize that I really should finish reading the rest of the series!

The Cup of Tears. It will never run dry when used in gaming context. We'll have classy drinks all the way.

<shrug> It's been one short delay so far, and it isn't a very long one. I'm not that hyped about the game. It isn't that I'm too jaded or too cynical to get hyped. I just usually don't, although the last time I got hyped for something, I wasn't disappointed.

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to the game. I'm fine with a delay or even two if that means I get a steadier gaming experience. Few things in games make me angry like crashing to desktop, locking up and other nasty bugs. I'm also enjoying the overall lack of news for now, because that prevents players from false assumptions. I'm not talking about leaked footage that wasn't meant for the general public, but there was other things. The best example I can think of was that, up to June of 2014, Patrick and Karen Weekes, as well as David Gaider, were talking about a subplot in the Fade sequence ( they talked about the player being tempted by a demon, and it would have involved an illusion of Leliana) for DA:I. That never made it into the game, and that was a bit of a disappointment for me.

Finally, this delay isn't really anything. I'm a Final Fantasy fan and I've waited for about a decade for XV. I see Kingdom Hearts fans that have waited just about as long (if not longer) as FF fans had for a direct sequel and there is no release date for that in sight. I'm a Diablo fan and had to wait years for that too. My husband is a Starcraft fan and had to wait about 16 years for the sequel to come out. When any BW game is delayed by over six years from a publicly announced release date, then I'll be let down. Until then, I've got several games to keep me occupied.
