you're alright. Albeit kind of a jerk.Uhh.. NO
The whole concept bites. It unnecessarily complicates gearing up just for the sake of complicating gearing up.
Armor Options: Should heavy armor slow you down?

They need to make the tech armor Worth it's weight in credits.No. Maybe a reduced sprint at most, or penalties to recharging biotic abilities.
Also no power armor please.

Who's that? Is he like that Kaidan Alenko character I keep hearing about but never see in any of my playthroughs?

In theory yes, but they made Shepard so acrobatic s/he can do sexy rolls and flips even while wearing Cerberus Shock Trooper armor with a Claymore, a Javelin, and Reverent.

When did shep ever do flips?
Flips - did not, combat rolls - as much as you order him/her to :-))

Wouldn't armor be power-assisted anyway?
Why not? We're already developing ultra-small muscle-like devices that contract depending on the power you send through them, I see no reason why you couldn't put these in a suit and hook them up to a power source.
Personally, I'd find it would make more sense to make the player less agile, making certain play styles and combat moves harder to pull off with heavy armor.
A combat side roll or somersault with heavy clunky armor? The main thing armor in real life does is not slowing your down but limiting your movements somewhat.

Not unless it's super-heavy armor, like those used by the N7 Soldier in Multiplayer, where the slower speed is a trade-off for vastly increased durability and/or firepower.
Armor also shouldn't affect power weight. If I want to be an Adept with a pistol or light rifle and heavy armor that can spam Biotics, I should be able to.

Probably not, if anything maybe it just slows down some abilities or reduces the amount of time that you can sprint by a small amount.

I though Shepard can do backflips in ME3. Or I'm confusing Dragon Age again.

You could do backflips in Dragon Age?
The Leaping Shot ability in Inquisition allows the character to do a backflip as they fire the arrows.

A mechanic I feel that should be added to the game is how your choice of armor affects your movement, which gives us a choice if we want light armor, medium, or heavy. (Haven't played multiplayer in a while) If i'm not mistaken, the N7 Destroyer or Demolisher or something is a really slow character, but has a lot of firepower. If the player prefers that style, they can pick heavy armor, but if I want to roll an infiltrator (My favorite) , I would want light armor to move quickly and get to better vantage points to pick people off and keep moving, never staying in one place.
Thoughts?
Nope - armor no matter how heavy should IMHO be powered (it's the future damned and we know that the military is working on powered armor RIGHT NOW!) so it should, if anything, make you stronger and faster (and give you more endurance, too) because of those servo-motors in the joints ![]()
Note: I hope they don't class restrict stuff the armor could have again, like say that jump-pack or the cloaking device (hate artificial class-restriction (ok: I'd love for them to dump the whole class-system - but I don't think they'll listen! - and make the only decision: Character is a biotic? Yes/No?) that makes no sense...why should a biotic not be able to use (tactical) cloak? Why should they not be able to use overload (it's a function of the damned Omni-Tool, not something that needs skill and training like AI-Hacking!) or incinerate?)
greetings LAX
