Eh, Sure... Why not? Though I'm sure not only females would enjoy the all male race.

I feel if there is an all male race, it'd be only fair to spread the love like the Asari who are romance options. Equal gender love !

But even with out a romance aspect (because the games could drop the romance and I'd still play) , an all male race would be cool. I wonder what type of society they would have hm...

Yeah I completely agree. I actually said this myself earlier. Someone said this idea would only appeal to the two percent of women who play ME or something. I said they wouldn't only be for just straight girls, I'm sure bisexual and gay relationships would do well with them as well.

Yeah, lets see how an all male race would survive, their rules, laws, their way of living, ect. That would be very interesting to see.

Are you serious?

Fine. Vorcha, obviously. The envirosuit's just a cover.

Really? I had no idea. No offence, but I didn't realise Vorcha's could be so well spoken and oddly alluring in a suit lol.

We already had some. They were called the Geth and the Reapers (unless there is some Reaper somewhere that sounds feminine I guess. Now that is actually a interesting question. Would a Reaper made out of Asari end up sounding like a female, or do they just give them all the deafult deep intimidating voice?)

Uh yeah..... They were synthetic. They don't have genders like we do.

I do think though that if they add an all male race it shouldn't be just to add one. I'd hope for them to be developed, well thought, and interesting like the other races.

And while I'm sure the majority of people may disagree, I would not care if the all male race was not attractive. I wouldn't have cared if Asari were not conventionally attractive . If they were interesting , it's all the matters to me.

I was under the impression that every ME species except my own, the humans and asari already were all male.

That would not be good, can you imagine all the space ships bumping into each other lost and never asking for directions?

Thing is, sex itself as understood as a biological process is meiosis, a form of reproduction characteristic of most multicellular life forms on earth, this may be a teleological explanation but it is a process that allows the transmission of a mixture of traits from parents to offspring and thus the concepts of male and female are particular to earth. So an alien species may have forms of reproduction utterly different from meiosis or mitosis (cell division), but we may classify them as male or female because it facilitates an ease of translation. If I had to choose an all male species from popular culture, I would choose (I choose you pikachu) the Xenomorphs from Aliens, I like how they appear with some traits from the host species.

Point is the reproduction of an alien species could occur in ways we cannot currently conceive, although I suspect realistically it would be constrained by principles of utility and the laws of thermodynamics. Now that I think about the topic of sex in the Mass Effect games I actually can see particular issues that would need to be narratively glossed over with dramatic effect. Ah well, call it a kind of poetry.

I know the joke but I've found it can apply to people from both genders.

Example; both of my parents do this even if it is something as mundane as looking for a certain ware and even if it is in a large store. It's like they think there is a stigma attached to asking where something is and this is even when the person they could ask is specifically trained to help people with this.

I've made a habit of just asking for them when I'm out and about with them.

Actually after thinking this through again, this is a great idea. That way Bioware can continue to lazily populate the entire game with only males of a species and have it make sense lorewise. It would also benefit those artist who apparently could't come up with a female alien design (if what I heard here before is actually true).

It could still be appealing to straight men. Just have to make the alien male race badaxes. Make them alpha af with lots of leadership traits, selflessness and pride. Physical dominance of a krogan minus the mental handicap, the agility of a drell and the cool personality of the turians.
Like a race of Predators, make them a little more aesthetic for the ladies but keep the alien feel. And shoot towards a "300" feel vs "magic mike".

Yeah of course, just dumping an incomplete species in there may very well tick a few people off.

They did have a few ugly Asari. Did you see the one in the DLC in ME 3, the one that had the battle chess game with Traynor? That Asari in my opinion was very unattractive.

Then I guess it's up to the ladies to help the men out. What would they do without us? Lol.  :P

That sounds good to me. I don't think all straight guys would like it because they may feel in competition to be the "manlier" one, but I bet a lot of girls (and possibly same sex relationships) would be attracted to that.

An all male race?

Well, except a couple of individuals, it seems Krogans, Salarians, Drells and Turians are only male :D

I would like to see the other half of their population before adding another only male race. I would like to see this time new races have both genders (unless they have none). [Really, the only realistic proportion ratio males/females are only among humans and quarians!].

He's a looker. He has nice eyes and lips, I'll give him that lol.

I always thought he looked cool, totally an underrated film imho. Just an FYI, some people (myself included) believe Jeriba and the Drak, were what inspired Akira Toriyama, to create the Namekians of DBZ, to be a hermaphrodite race. Even the planet, Drak, looks shockingly similar; green tint from space, green water, and two suns. Though it's never confirmed.

Yeah I personally wouldn't see the point of an all male race, since for the most part our experiences with krogans, salarians, drell and turians are experiences with practically an all male race, except for a smitherall of individuals.

Definitely I'd like to see more of the other half of their populations, a balance of genders of the old races, and new races also having an equal balance and proportion (of course unless they are like asari). I don't want to have to wait to till the second single player DLC of the third game of a series to finally meet a female individual of an alien species only for them to die five minutes later  <_<

Of course you're going to have you're insecure minority of egotistical "men", but what guy wouldn't want to be friends with their role model.

I'd love to have Arnold Schwarzenneger in his prime as my workout partner or Cristiano Ronaldo as my wingman.

When attacking Salarian Eclipse mercs, the Salarian mercs with helms on, always sounded female. So, there's that.

Really?

I could never quite hear them over the screams and cries of Asari Vanguards as they were attacked...

It's true the Salarians have a little sexual dimorphism (less than humans have) and that was pretty cool ^_^

Buuuut... Turians, Krogans, Drells, BATARIANS... all of them with the exception of Nyreen, Random Turian Female in the bar and Eve... all males.

She was only in the comics, mentioned in the games, and there were never any female drells encountered in the games.
