I remember their was a game breaking bug when Alistair would always talk to you about being King in the end game celebrations even if you decided to not make him King and keep him as a Warden. Is this bug still in Origins? I look at the Wiki, but it hasn't been updated in quite some time.

I ask cause I'm doing a redo of all the games and my main save and my main Warden marrys Anora. I remember I had to let Loghain become a Warden so Alistair would leave and I wouldn't have this bug, cause the bug carrys over to Awakening and instead of my Wardens wife showing up, King Alistair does and I was like wtf?! lol.

Just wanna know in advance cause i'm on PC Ultimate Edition and was wondering if I'm gonna have to make Loghain a Warden so I don't get the bug.

I finished my first playtrough about one and half a year ago and did not encounter such a bug in any of my worldstates with Alistair staying a warden, although I've never made my own warden become Anora's husband.

It has nothing to do with the Dragon Age Keep worldstates lol. Its a bug that predates the Dragon Age Keep, and was in the base game of Origins.

If you decided to keep Anora on the throne with a marriage pact between a Human Male Cousland Warden and keep Alistair alive as a Warden only(Not King), in the end game celebrations when you get a chance to talk to all your companions before the credits roll, when you talk to Alistair he would always makes a comment on how he looks forward to being King. Even tho you decided to not make him King lol. Then when importing right into Awakening, instead of your wife Queen Anora showing up, King Alistair shows up. Thus the bug :) ( Its listed in the Wiki if you wanna see it )

If you want to become King you have to make Alistair leave the Wardens, by making Loghain a Warden. Its the only way to get the bug to go away and get the ending King Hero of Ferelden you want. ( Its one of the reasons why Bioware made the Keep. Too many bugs to fix )

BUT ANYWAYS....I'm trying to see if they already fix the bug, and I won't have to go through the trouble again of making Alistair leave the party.

( I check the Wiki, but Origins Wiki hasn't been updated in AGES XD )

I was not referring to the Keep, but the in-game events. I guess I misused the word "worldstate". What I meant was that Alistair has never mentioned becoming the king after slaying the Archdemon in any of my playtroughs if I didn't make him one and Anora was the one who appeared at the start of Awakening.

Yeah well regardless its a listed bug, and I had it happen to me. And you say you never had your Warden marry Anora, sooooooo your comment is getting me no where lmao.

I need to know if the bug is still there.

Every ending where Alistair does not become King is bugged. He always refers himself to King from the Landsmeet on, no matter what choice you made. If you are  a Human Noble who marries Anora and has Alistair kill Loghain, the ending is impossible to complete. Anora will be stading there invisible, and Alistiar will be in King's Armor. He also does the King's Speech  for leading the charge  to the battle of Denerim instead of Anora.

The only way to avoid this is to recruit Secret Companion (Loghain) or to make Alistair king.

Sorry for bad formatting, cant succesfully bring over from wikia.

You might look at patches on wikia and see if it's been fixed on those.

I'm sorry then. I only replied because in the topic title you write about all endings with Alistair not being the king, not only the one with the HoF marrying Anora.

That's because there is nothing to update, the last Origins patch (1.05) was years ago. And yes, the bug still exists.

If you're willing to install a patch, this one fixes the bug:

http://www.nexusmods...nage/mods/928/?

Between that and this one:

http://www.nexusmods...age/mods/1120/?

... a huge number of plot and dialogue bugs are fixed.

I'll be honest and say I don't know if this fixes the monarch in Awakenings (as opposed to JUST the dialogue at the end of Origins), but I presume it does since I think it's just an issue with plot-flags being set incorrectly.

I've not used the Alistair-specific files from ZDF, but I do know that the optional IRS-Alistair epilogue fix (which can be installed exclusive of the main mod and which I believe is essentially the same as the ZDF fix) both fixed Alistair's bugged dialogue in the main game and, with the relevant plot flags thus properly... flagged, had solo!Queen Anora properly show up in Awakening with the imported save. (I use a manual install mélange of DT, ZDF, MRP, and IRS-A.)
