Gives a whole new meaning to "The Dark Knight Rises".

Though as much as I love Triss, I still have to romance Yennefer in TW3.

Nothing beats doing it on a wooden unicorn.

That unicorn wasn't wooden, but stuffed. Kinda macabre, really, given that they're sentient creatures. Geralt hated that thing.

It was a little creepy. Ain't gonna lie. When it comes to romance DA and Mass Effect ain't got $#¡t on em. It's time bioware get educated. Learn from your rivals. Adapt. Overcome.

I still found it amusing, but I'm weird like that.

Other than that, I'm more partial to Triss myself.

There were many, many little amusing things like that from the stories that were included in the games. They are too many to enumerate, really. They did an amazing job.

Yeah, Triss is great. I never felt like I was RPing a unique character with that game, though. I always RPed Geralt as I knew him from the novels and short stories. That being the case, I could never choose Triss over Yen, even if that might've been my personal choice. There's no way Geralt would've ever parted ways with Yen.

As for the topic, if they do this I hope they go the opposite direction as well and have more romances that don't involve or worse require sex for them to continue and instead focus on the romance of the romances.

You do you. But who nowadays has a relationship without sex? I swear whoever I romance, they better rock Ryder's world.

You know me and her had the same argument over this long ago. And boy she was pissed because I told her the truth that men are more prone to sexuallity than women.

Romance without sex is like a bacon cheeseburger without bacon.

True that. It's easier to get a man into bed isn't it? But I digress.

I don't see why not. Folks on the Ark are gonna need to blow off some steam every now and then. No reason why our protagonist can't help out with that from time to time. We should totally earn some paragon points for this altruism as well.

Rather than going the fan service route for dudes who want their toons to be a space Casanova, it would be more amusing if instead it was a female LI that uses and discards the male protagonist.

"Why are you still talking? Get out."

The reaction on the forums would be amusing at least.

Only if she uses and discards me more than once.

On a serious note, I don't really see why people would be against this at all. I feel like, most people wouldn't really care, as long as it isn't done in a blatantly sexist way. And of course, it would have to be applicable to players and NPCs of all genders/orientations. I wouldn't mind playing as a protagonist who has casual encounters with all genders. Some people just want sex and no relationships. There's nothing wrong with that. Everyone involved would obviously be a consenting adult, and as consenting adults, they can choose to do whatever they want with their bodies.

Romance without sex is like a bacon cheeseburger without bacon.

I'm sure the thousands of romantically involved people around the world who completely lack a libido or functional sexual organs due to various medical conditions would disagree.

I would actually like this. The option should be there for these encounters, but let's make them affect other relationships as well. If you go around banging people left right and centre, companions/romance options should have varying opinions on this - potentially putting a block on a relationship.

I love you so much

I love you so much, now let's platonically go to bed for the rest of our life.

There's a reason why cheating are so high, especially among the men.

I have a lot of romance without sex, I think they're called friends.

You say realistic.

Although Geralt can get his clothes off in record time in that video. It's even faster than Triss, and she uses magic to get naked =P

Why use buttons when you can use velcro.

Dobby did allow that they'd still be enjoying "cheeseburgers", which are pretty good on their own. Most people would prefer not to have the aforementioned health conditions, in favor of a normal sex life, given the choice. I'm not promoting one lifestyle over another. I'm just pointing out that people with healthy minds generally prefer to have healthy bodies and bacon cheeseburgers, as well, as opposed to sick or injured bodies and cheeseburgers.

Not just them. There are also the millions of people who do things like wait until marriage or at least more than a few months that ME games tend to be.

Fade to black... never again, a man needs what he needs.

Example A on why romances in video games don't get taken seriously
