You won't be able to play the game if it's not from a first person perspective? You should look elsewhere then....

indeed so they want tot turn ME into COD not going to happen at least not on my watch one of the things I lov eabout Boiware's games is creating differnt characters amnd playing the story through as them which is what RPG's are about. You want to play a first person shooter EA have another series to astisfy that it's called Battlefield.

They aren't saying make it first person. They are saying make an option for first person. You still get what you want so what's the issue?

My issue is I'd rather they focus on things that do need sorting plus I can't see it working very well in ME

Maybe we also need a 2 dimensional view, this would like really help in those large maps. No more having to worry about moving left, and right, just straight on until dawn..

I think Bethesda have already got a bunch of games like this. A series of The Elder Scrolls and another series basically are The Elder Scrolls with Guns. Have fun :)

Game is fine as it is. No need to be transformed into another random shooter.

Third person is one of the things I'd never change in the franchise. And quoting Todd Howard "It just works"

Also, what the F is second person?

Second person is when you're seeing your character in third person, from the first person point of view of one of your squadmates.

Is there a fourth person? Just how many people are watching my character?

Honestly though while I wouldn't mind the option....I think it would a waste of resources to add it to the game.

No thanks, this is Mass Effect. Not stinking COD.

/\ There should be a button on the reply bar which pastes this sentence, so we could just press it when the first person threads show up.

Do I get a button that pastes an automatic reply to that sentence about how Call of Duty isn't the apex of first person shooters and how just because it's a FPS doesn't automatically make it like CoD?

That's when the character breaks the fourth wall and starts controlling you. It'd be like the sims except in real life!

A unique dialog wheel could pop up with options of actions and lines for you to tease your LI.

Actions on the right side: 1. caress boobs or torso 2. kiss, suck tongue and soft bite on lip 3. caress crotch

Lines on the left: 4. 'Ouch! Slow down!'  5. 'Do you like it?' 6. 'Don't stop.'

I'd love a first person view, but with the way I supsect the game's going to handle, it probably won't work all that well. (ME3 like cover-based shooter) Still, would love to see some of ME's guns in first person. Could easily make the game copy-pasta feeling though in the MP. Despite your race and setup, you'd still just be a roaming faceless rifle like in most other FPSs. I'd probably play in third person the majority of the time, and use first person for immersive play while I explore.

That was more like Skyrim: Thomas the dank engine edition!

But seriously, they do have some good mods in skyrim if you wanna play it so.

Why not? This almost happened anyway. It was the precursor to ME3MP and they were going to call it Mass Effect: Team Assault.
maxresdefault.jpgan optional 1st person camera for anyone who wants it shouldn't be hard to implement. I remember shooters as far back as N64's Shadows of the Empire having this feature, and the most recent Battlefront on the same Frostbite engine managed to pull off having both 3rd and 1st person viewpoints pretty seamlessly, as you can switch between them without even using a menu.

I probably wouldn't use it much, as 3rd person tends to grant gameplay advantages due to the wider FOV, but I don't see why it can't be there just because dumb people on the internet want to have cry about FPSs in general.

Why is First Person = CoD but not First Person = Bloodlines?

Just think of the gameplay vids for those. It's a fair bet that most would only have like 5% of any given video featuring the actual face of the LI. The rest…well…you know.

I get pulled out of the immersion of a game when I see my character blocking my view. I want to have the option of having clear unencumbered vision. It's probably hoping for too much from Bioware I know, but I know I won't be able to play the game otherwise. It just bothers me too much. This is where Bethesda gets it just right, and Bioware should take note. I can't understand why Bioware insists on not adding this crucial option to their games. I can deal with all the other things that may bother me but this.

How exactly would an over the shoulder shooter with an active cover system work in first person? Yeah, it wouldn't. Mass Effect is not an FPS and it never will be for obvious reasons.
