If you could fix or change anything in Mass Effect 1 what would that be ?

Squad and enemy AI should be updated for realism, there is not much reason to stay in cover when a bullet sponge rushes in behind you, pops a shot in you and rushes back to its spawn, and repeats this until combat ends.
A more refined inventory screen with clear comparison betweeen weapon/armor/etc stats and easier equipment management.
Some more content, landmarks, vegetation, stuctures on uncharted worlds.
Some more use for omnigel, maybe some crafting, though I'm not sure it is essential.

If you're having issues with your controls sticking... Have you tried to adjust your sensitivity?... and Is your controller in good condition?
The combat/movement mechanics in ME1 are certainly not well refined. It improves immensely in ME2 and ME3.
I regularly go through all of ME1 without using any Omni-Gel at all. As I answered on your other thread, when taking on thresher maws, I prefer to park the mako safely behind a knoll and take on the maw on foot. Maw acid pretty much instantly damages the mako. Regardless of your shields, it will damage the tires; meaning that you will have to use omni-gel to repair it (or else leave the planet to reset the mako without using omni-gel). However, omni-gel is easy to obtain (that is, there is ample loot from crates that you can break down into omni-gel throughout the game). The only concern is really not allowing the damage to get too severe before you back away and make repairs. You cannot repair the mako while you are under fire... so, if it starts to smoke, you need to find a knoll to hide behind while you make repairs.

-Combat missions need a lot of work they should be a more realistic like calling for air support from the Normandy when pinned down by tanks, heavy artillery, and provide covering fire. And I wish they have skydiving with jetpacks as another way of infiltrate mission sites without being detected, that would make a lot of sense since Shepard is Special Ops. I want to missions to be more authentic and realistic.
-The Mako needs a whole lot of improvement the maneuverability needs work, speeds and most importantly the weapons really suck. They should've set it up to buy weapon upgrades and customization.
-I would've redesign the planets to have it more real like lands, slopes, weather, etc. I revamp the design of the Citadel, the buildings, computers, and everything becausevit looks like half-assed work.
-And people should walk around do something around the environment like shopping, drinking coffee, walk around, people working, arguing, etc.
-I want to see kids playing @ the Citadel playing with toy guns pretending to be Duck Dodgers and Marvin the Martian chasing each other playing and laughing. And see parents smiling at their children playing.
-I want a theater @ the Citadel to watch old Sci-Fi movies, Looney Tunes of Marvin the Martian, and some creative movies that BW can cook up.
-I would made better clubs to look more futuristic and fun like Samurai Jack episodes, and have actual stripping clubs of topless showgirls and gambling like Las Vegas.
-I would've redesigned Sha'ira's place to feel like an actual place of comfort like Mediterranean /Eastern style design.
-And they should have world-class fashion designers to design clothing instead of long dresses and uggh poorly made clothing.
Have a hybrid of shooter/melee action/adventure gameplay design like Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Tomb Raider, and Watch Dogs. Improve covering system, H2H combat, and set up a team command menu to give orders like overwatch, ambush, breach-bang/frag and clear rooms.

I'm not sure how it is on the PS systems, but you can adjust it on the Xbox 360 in 10% increments. I don't know why I didn't mention it on your other thread... having it set too high might be the reason you're finding it difficult to settle down and aim (you described something about looking up a the sky, then feet, etc.)

I agree with those i highlighted i really like your post and i would like to see this happen as well the places look most of the times so empty and dull sometimes there are only two or three aliens/humans in a certain area so unrealistic

My one change for this one would be to rework a lot of the side missions level designs. Replaying this game recently it struck me just how frustrating and crappy the level design is.
Walk into a room, instantly surrounded by ENEMIES EVERYWHERE because the environments are too small and there's too many enemies crammed into every inch of the room.

I loved the feel of ME1, so there is little I would change - except to make the character handling more like it was in ME3. Magnetic walls and all of that are infuriating.
The Mako handles like a Wombat on LSD . While it is a good machine that can get your anywhere you need to be (and places where you ought not to go), it could use some work.

I'd want....
-Banter from squad mates on missions like in ME3.
-Being able to ditch the weapons I don't use (again like you can in ME3).
-The combat to be more like ME2.
-Cutting down the number of planets and making what's left more interesting and unique.
-The Citadel to be more easily navigable. It's easy to miss quests in all those corridors.
-No inventory, for the love of God get rid of that thing.
-The ability to take control of the other squadmates, like in DA. I saw that that was once possible in an early dev video but it didn't make it in the end.
-Being able to pause with spacebar and give instructions to the squad and look around, like DA, instead of having to hold spacebar down. It's just not as useful.
That's all I've got for now, but there's probably a lot more. I really like ME1 though, I'd just like to tweak it a whole lot.

option to play as other race then human, even our ship was a product of few races development(yeah that kinda change the plot when we touch parts of humanity is special and alliance perspective but with ME2 it was not really)
remove mako(and mako driving missions from a game) and replace it with kodiak ship
put asari males in game, so asari will not became a ridiculous things what they are now
put females of turians and other races in game
give eyes to hanars
show quarians faces
let tali and garrus be romancable
option to let kaiden and ashley both die as with liara....and yes garrus and tali could die too so this would be fair like in ME2 suiside mission
inventory and armor/weapons system from ME2-3 where we have suplies of them and could customise them

What do you mean with magnetic walls can you run up those walls like in the game Prince of Persia in ME 3 ?

Well i have not been to every planet yet but the vegetation is just not good on those planets sometimes i see a couple of animals near a crate or some rock and that's it. And i have not seen trees or other plants it's all bear wastelands sometimes it's green rocky and another time it is brown rocky or another color. I also wonder what those animals eat because there is nothing there to eat. So i would like to see that the planets come to life and i mean a lot more alive.

Get too close to a wall in ME1 and Shepard will automatically take cover. For the most part this is not a problem but it can be a pain in some missions, one optional secondary mission in particular with a lot of narrow hallways and a ton of husks.

Most of the eyebrows are not very good. And for me personally, most of FemShep's eyebrow options make her look perpetually surprised.

Oh lol that is not the same thing that i was thinking of what s/he would do.
No true but you can say the same thing about the hair that's not very good either and there are more things when you create your character that is not very good.

(1) If a squadmate is pressed against cover and I order them to use a power, they should minimally do the same thing Shepard does: step out of cover, launch the power, get back into cover. Steadfast refusal to launch powers should only be an option for dead squadmates. ![]()
(2) If you can't remove untrained weapons entirely from everyone, at least make it so that squadmates never select an untrained weapon on their own. Ever.
(3) Gear from Tier 1 manufacturers ends at rank VII. No more Cipher Tool Xs please.

- Untrained weapons should NOT be carried. They're dead weight.
- All bi LIs
- Biotic Charge present since ME1 (I actually like ME1 skill selection the best save for this "small"detail).
- Make the sprint last more.
- Heavy melee from ME3. Not necesarily omni-blades.
